funny, great details here. Really like the use of your other render on the back wall, and the flashlight on the edge of the tub. Really detailed piece and the details add so much to the story.

LOL. Yeah. Originally it was just the razor (owen actually hates the scruff and shaves twice a day because it grows out by noon) but the reflection on the bathtub required some sort of light source, to be plausible, and I liked the idea of a bath by flashlight.

Ohhhh, I really love this! Came out really nice and love the scenario.

Ah! Glad you like it. It was rather difficult to get exactly right because of the lightng and the fact that Owen's nearly white most of the time, so he lacks color and gets washed out quickly.

Stonemason's sci-fi medbay is pretty durn realistic. But the set is kind of spartan with  its lack of furnishings.  I really wanted some sort of medical scanner to go over the bed and a pillow and a blanket. I had to kitbash a couple from another set. The robot took the place of the scanner...

I may go redo it again. I'm not keen on Boyd's hand. I may also try dforcing a blanket.

The robot is a good laugh...better than the scanner and it's clear it is recording medical readings of some type.

yes, wherever Boyd goes there is usually some sort of floating scouting bot. But I like Helper... The extra arms do come in handy!

Here is my image of a certain Baby. I'm not quitting my day job to illustate children... But I like the shape a lot. Need to find some skins with good unpencilled brows and no eyeliner.

I looked at that and have decided to go with the Adam Thwaites Genesis Baby, if any. I felt the Sixus Media model looks more toddler age. Both are sort of an expensive model though to buy just for 1 render of Madonna & Child.

Your pose is good though, very learning to walk.

Yeah, I have both. I really like Genesis baby.  I would love some baby eyebrows. Vicky's are too plucked and arched and Michaels are too big. Baby needs more upraised brows that are thin in length but not in shape.

Okay I've made a male pose expression set as part of my Christmas gift this year.  They are poses...  They are mostly designed for Boyd, but other characters might look good with them too.  I did a test render with Owen here. I'm not claiming to be anything but a novice, but I like poses with a lot of eyebrow movement which is why the guys tend to have larger distinctive brows. There are no dials, if that's what you are into. They are poses for the head. Just to warn you so you arent' disappointed. =-)

    Enjoy:

    This is infatuated.

Alll my poses are free for commerical use. I will upload to sharecg later in the week.  I want to test a bit more, and make some art.

Thanks, that's very kind of you!  I'll see if I can figure out where the file goes (I've been using package installer for rendo stuff, so I assume it will work on this) and play with it this weekend.  Finding good (not over exaggerated) expressions is hard, and I've noticed yours are very good.

how comes, that in all this time I never looked into this thread?

Well I think I missed quite something, this will not happen again, great works to find here :D

It goes in people-Genesis 8 male-expressions. A little trick is if you go  male expressions directory and open file location of the other expressions you can drop them in that same sub directory. When you reboot daz they should show in there. =)

Love this! The poses are extremely natural looking.

And thank you very much!  I'm terrible at expressions so this will be most useful!

The pose came with this set https://www.daz3d.com/together-brotherhood-poses-for-genesis-8-male-s

I altered the hands though for the shopping bags and did the expressions.

I will do more expressions I was pleased how these turned out

  • Excellent job on the expressions and the lighting is fantastic Serene.

The shopping render is fun!  Out they go to conquer the stores!

I really like this. You're definitely picking up a unique style.

Thanks.  I do have a unique style. Not sure how that evolved... But I do agree.

I wanted to try to do a kiss pose on the back of a motorcycle. This proved an interesting challenge artistically...  what to with Owens legs. It’s also pretty dark down there.

Not sure how it would work with these two given the armor and all, but I have seen images like this where the woman was sitting on the tank and had her legs wrapped around the guy who was standing waist. I have to say you made this look really good.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,648

Thanks, Hmmm may have to try that as an alt pose...although I agree it might be tough in heavy battle armor

Nice work on the posing, but I like the materials as well very much!

I like the face in shadow, not every scene is going to be evenly lit and this looks real.

The cyberstealth bodysuit is quite interesting. Too bad it was removed from the store. One of the things the set comes with is clear 'stealth; surface. I used it on the trim areas of suit. The clear shader is intended to be cyber stealth mode for the suit.

Pretty neat, almost looks like alien muscle maps. Why did they remove Cyberstealth from the store?

It was pulled due to the suit being similar to the outfit worn by the lead character in the Crysis videogame. The bow that came with the set was not pulled and is still for sale.
