Cliffhanger (DAZ 3D / Jack Tomalin)
    http://www.daz3d.com/cliffhanger

There's the gorge area and the cliff face. You might have to watch the rocks in the foreground as they really blur out, I like the set at more of a distance. It just depends on your camera angle, and from slightly above will do better.

I used the winter texture on Cliffhanger in one of my RRRR entries this month, although you can only see a small part of it.

I'm not sure at this time. They use the new Tutorial thing built into DAZ Studio. Nice way to get some content you may not have ever bought before.

Snow Sultan has posted a really neat tutorial about how to make a animation style character based on DAZ 3d models.

    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/40700/

I used that as a base to make this image.

I unfortunately, have to draw lines using a notebook, and think a wacom/stylus and pen type tablet might work better. drawing lines with a trackpad isn't very easy.

I found using the cartoon style render also helpful. AS the tutorial suggested, I ramped the ambient up on everything, removed textures and shading, and overdrew it with a pen tool in photoshop. It helps to make the eyes bigger.

I'm not sure how big a deal that is.

TY for the heads up. I'll look into this and see if that needs corrected. If it does I shall have DAZ 3D informed.

EDIT: I just tested it, the Charm Hair does appear to AutoFit to Genesis just fine. I just used Unsupported and Hair Long with no Issues.

I've bought stuff that's for both Genesis and Genesis 2 Female before (namely the Jeanz Skirt for Genesis and Geneisis 2 Females) and it came with two different versions of the skirt, one for each figure, that's why I'm concerned something is missing.

    The AntFarm's ColdWar Lab

This is a really nice set with the AntFarm's usual great textures. Probably intended as another of the many abandoned places, so doing a retro-type render with the mossy floor looks kind of off. I wish Stonemason, Jack Tomalin, Antfarm et al would make more funky lived-in places that are kind of beat-up but not deserted, so they could be used from something besides horror and post-apocalypse.

Predatron's LoREZ 14 MU Worker and peipet's Nomad Module and some other figures and clothes.

I opened a ticket on the missing support for Genesis in Charm Hair (Request #164702) in March. They told me to use Autofit with Unsupported. I contended that when a product page says a product is compatible with a figure, it should work on that figure WITHOUT autofit, and either the web page is incorrectly advertising Genesis compatibility, or I am missing some product files in the DIM. That ticket was closed by DAZ. So here we are in May, with the same issue coming up again, because nothing was corrected. I'll be interested to hear what Jaderail finds out.

Luci- I really like the ColdWar Lab, wishlisted it. Don't know how that got by me, lol! I see what you're saying about the floor and agree with you.

The lighting is really nice, I like the chair in the third one, it's like I can feel the texture, really cool to the touch. And nice touch to see the sky and interior at the same time.

For folks who want to do different artistic approaches (cartoon etc) you can use Corel Photo Paint, Photoshop, and any number of programs to just slide sliders and get some fun effects too. We've already covered Fotosketch in my previous Art Studio threads, but for new viewers (and a reminder to regulars) be sure and go back and play with it. Here's Anabelle from my current RRRR bar scene that I previously posted.
I could play with these all night!

Vaskania mentioned Krita, so here's information on that. Nice to swap information, I hadn't heard of Krita. Be sure and read the article (Danas Anis) on the page- it mentions if you like CMYK (especially for printing) then Krita is excellent. It also mentions Scribis supports CMYK (for ebooks, I assume.)

FYI- You'd have to spend $72.59 to get the 70% off on today's "sale." You have to buy all 7 products.
I like the musical instruments (Melody Man Brass) but I'm sitting out on sales where I have to spend that much to get discounts. I'm still recovering from March Madness!

    Lucille's Bikini for Genesis 2 Female(s)
    http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/lucilles-bikini-for-genesis-2-females

How often do PC members get a high-quality, brand new (G2F) character for $1.99?
Lucille is a nicely tanned, expressive character, with well-proportioned limbs.
The blond image is Lucille right "out-of-the-box", the other two illustrate a couple of eye color and makeup options.

Also at $1.99 is a retro bikini that also bears Lucille's name. The images demonstrate the three material choices you get with the clothing.
All this for a total of $3.98? Can you say "bargain"? :)

Fun coincidence, I just bought her and the outfit about three minutes ago! :)
Thanks for sharing- you really made the colors pop and showed the outfit to its best advantage. I like the sexy but still family friendly approach of the clothing.

FYI, be sure to keep checking the New Releases page and the banner. There's a $5 off Daz Originals if you buy one of the new releases today. It says two hours and it's been at least three or four hours. I bought the pose set from the new releases as that was the cheapest item and I'll use them. Code is MAY-SAVE-5

Just to elaborate, most printing services use CMYK as opposed to RGB, hence the good vibes when an app supports CMYK. :)

Also, Krita supports Windows, Linux, and has a version called Krita Gemini for desktop/tablet morphing ultrabooks.

Vaskania, when I went to the site and visited the forums, there was a link to the .com. What exactly is the difference with the version on the .com vs the .org, do you know?

Krita.com is a band named Twig
    Krita.org is the app. ;)

The main urls for Krita is Krita.org and Kritastudio.com.
If you mean the differences between those, Krita.org is Linux, and Kritastudio.com is for Windows, Gemini version, and the Studio version for companies.

BWC Olympia 6 Floor Poses (Sedor)
    http://www.daz3d.com/bwc-olympia-6-floor-poses

Coming up- it's going to be a "pose marathon!" I'm tackling two things at once- poses from all vendors, and Sedor poses.

I'm taking a break from sets and doing nothing but poses for you. Cassia will showcase all my Olympia poses for you, and I think you'll really enjoy this. If you'd like to join the fun, feel free with the exception of the Olympia poses already in progress as I'm doing those. Please put as many as possible in one post so the product isn't spread out all over the place. I'm not really looking for just ONE example from a product, cover the product fairly well please. I loaded three of the same figure in my scene because it really sped up covering the poses.

If you want to chip in and help get a comprehensive pose collection, please do only ONE PRODUCT in your post, like I've done here, with the name of the product in bold and blue like the way we normally do products, with the link. :) Just follow the example above.

DO NOT TWEAK THE POSES UNLESS THE HAND GOES THROUGH THE CLOTHING!

The emphasis is the poses, you don't have to put the figures in a scene.

To save time and get more poses shown, I'm not tweaking the facial expressions. Also, you'll know that if they change, that means it's part of the pose set.

Ones in progress for Olympia: (Names as they appear in the studio, may not be exact titles)
    Boudoir Poses Olympia (DONE)
    BWC Laying Poses (DONE)
    CDI Olympia Barbarian (DONE)
CDI Olympia Fantasy Classic Poses DONE
    Simply Olympia DONE
    Warrior Goddess Poses DONE
    Callidora Poses for Olympia DONE

If anyone wants to do Lady And The Lion, Olympia Fantasy Classic (with the staff), the ones included with the Pro Bundle, feel free. And if there are any other pose sets specifically for Olympia that I've missed.

Forget "Got Milk?" Let's "Got Sedor?"
If you have Sedor poses, let's cover those first. Then we'll do a "Free For All."

EDIT: Changed the title, these are the floor poses, not the laying poses.

Hi Novica. Great idea doing the pose sets, especially clothed as you get a better idea of how they will look if you are using clothed figures. I don't have any Olympia or Sedor's. I would like to do Sitting Pretty for Gia. I'll start on those soon so they'll be ready for the Pose-athon. %-P

What are the tan pants on the middle figure? I like them because they seem a bit looser than most.

Sure, go ahead and do those, others can consider those "reserved" for you.
As soon as I'm done with the current render, I'll post the hair and clothing of each figure. I meant to do that and forgot (the stupid forum was acting up, you know, when you hit post and it sends you into "My Account." Grrr.) So I got sidetracked.

Post as soon as you're ready, since I already got started and didn't wait for the weekend. There's a LOT of pose sets! :) And thanks for helping. Maybe DAZ will put some of these on sale, that would be nice! (Since we're doing concentrated marketing, lol.)

Here's the laying poses. A really nice variety in this pose set. Keep in mind they are shot at an angle to fit all the gals into the scene, the figures do lay flat on the floor.

Okay, here's the clothing and hair for Cassia (for Olympia)

The blue and white striped outfit is Boardwalk, Estal Hair.
The middle figure which you like is Vault Rustler, Sultry Hair.
Third figure is Ranger Top, Afternoon Heat Leggings, and Qamra Hair.

EDIT: FYI- I don't mind if anyone wants to use the same clothing and hair when doing their poses, as a matter of fact, I recommend these as they render nicely with extreme poses (no interference with the poses) and they render fast at .20 shading rate.
I just checked and it was at 33 percent at about a minute, done in about five minutes.
