    What worse, the Pines does not work without updating the UltraScenery itself.

    Bye, bye to flat areas without the vegetation.

    Now, I will start crying...

    Pines extension looks nice,

    but it is a pity, that I cannot keep them both - flat areas without vegetation and Pines extension.

    As I recall from back a way in the thread there probably will be a way to exclude vegetation added, the flat areas thing was a bug.

    Yes, I know, but it was a very useful bug.

    It has allowed me to create a flat areas for the other things, like buldings.

    On the other hand, HowieFarkes posted somewhere in the thread that he plan to add the other option

    for flat areas without added vegetation.

    The question is, when will we get it.

    Instances to Objects is in the Platinum Club for a Day sale for $1.99! You can use it to convert some of the instances that UltraScenery creates into objects, if you want to apply different mats/shaders. smiley

    Worked fine untill I got the (Pines) add-on, now I get an error running any of the add-on's

    Mine works fine, but I already had the Pines pack installed. Have you tried shutting down DAZ Studio, maybe even rebooting your computer and trying again?

    I bought Ultrascenery Pines and Mossy Hollow because of the mistake. The sale prices on both were a major factor on my decision. Now I'm returning both products.

Now when I was doing a look over the product page for that set I noticed that it was instead listing "Nature Trees Pack 4" as requirement - so there was a mix up somewhere and the wrong page got updated. I'm so sorry this has happened and I have contacted Daz to rectify. It is mentioned in the product description and on the promo image that "Nature Trees Pack 4" is the required product. It is a fairly new product so not available for discounts as yet. I can't say when the page will be fixed as that is not in my control.

    Thank you. I suppose I shall keep what I purchased and also get the Nature Tress 4, too. I really like the Ultrascenery products.

    That's good to hear.  I didn't return it as it is a nice product on it's own.

    I was gonna say - hold tight everyone that bought Mossy Hollow Botanica, because I'm sure Howie will incorporate these eventually ;). I bought Mossy Hollow Botanica AND Andrey's Pines...I do agree however, that Daz should have gotten it right the first time. Even if it was a mistake it SMELLS like bait and switch.

    I'm also another one that would like to see those MartinJ.Frost palms used too ;). All in good time I guess.

    I just caught up on the last three pages and love all your renders with the pines. (Honestly, I love all your renders!)

    I am on board with all the suggestions. All those PAs are on my must buy list.

    Took pines for a test run this morning and it renders without a hitch. I used HDRI for lighting.

    I set an environment with Lake 1, Pines 3, and without adjusting any other settings, set UltraScene Creator to build the scene. It failed as it was working on 'grass' or what I could see in the little window of flashing data. I looked at the log and attached a snip of the run. 

    This actually was the second attempt. The first was on the Beta, so I opened 4.12.1.117, and did it again, watching carefully. I did make sure Iray Preview was off, and render Optimization was set to 'Memory' beforehand. Both got the same result.

    I have not had any problems in previous use with this product. Does anyone have an idea what I can do?

    I also own all required products.

    memcneil70, update the the first Ultascenery software and see if that works, I had to do this and it worked for me. See post a few abover yours by me and you will see it. Hope this works for you.

    Thank you @41cessna, I had downloaded the 1 June update, but for some reason it didn't 'install' into DS. I had to manually install it when I was in Smart Content. But I repeated my steps, and have moved past the grass and it seems to be working now.

    @creationZ8 I forgot to say that I think you have a great brooding test there. I expect to see some boogyman or creature to come crawling out at me.

    Hi - just purchased this and it is simply impossible to use... I have a 2019 Macbook Pro with 16GB RAM... not the best but not the weakest as well but this product took 20 minutes to load the "100,000 instances" and after an hour, my hourglass is still flipping, DS freezes each time I move my mouse and the scene doesn't even load. I can't close the scene nor even work with it since it hasn't loaded and I am trying to avoid force shutting DS. I did have my optimization as "Memory" and am on minimal settings (no rivers or extras etc).

    Am I doing something wrong? Am terribly disappointed as I was so looking forward to using this rather amazing product. :( :(

    I would not use Daz on a laptop of any kind. But that's just me. I had a pretty decent desktop to start with but Daz proved too much for it doing certain tasks. The only thing I upgraded to improve performance was install a TITAN RTX card. Now things run better even with 16gb of pc memory.

    I would recommend to disable all small things, like pebbles, daisies, maybe grass and leave only trees selected

    before you click on Build button. Check that first and experiment with the limits of your computer later on.

    I was suprised, when I have created UltraScenery with small island preset and got over 200 000 instances,

    but only a few trees. I guess all pebbles were created under the water that was around the island.
