@ Horo: Thank you. Escher is really inspiring and it was difficult to get a picture of this cramped scene. Without the fisheye lens of David and you, I would not have got it.
I had seen your work on Escher's other worlds and found it fascinating.
After this picture, I have looked at Escher's work properly and that's how you ultimately inspired me :)
@ Mermaid: Thank you very much. I am looking forward to your entries.
My third entry.
Name: Loupe.
Used: 5 reflecting planes as closed kaleidoscope, a sphere with texture controlled transparency, an HDRI from inside and a fisheye lens (330 degrees).
My 1st entry, I started with David's Bryce quick scene project – make an M C Escher-esque space tutorial for the initial setting, then played with the presets materials, the camera and lights.
Thank you, Henryhor, Horo, adbc and drachlenlords.
I spent a few minutes looking through all the entries so far:
Horo: your owl head is very eerie and I love the colours; in your Lippen I love that rippled-glass effect; Loupe has a very fluid effect to me, almost like molten glass pouring.
drachenlords: I love the "statues" in The Dance, a bit like Henry Moore creations; in Alice that "glitter-ball" type structure is fascinating; and the Escher-style tower is just brillliant!
mermaid010: your Crazy Clown is another one that shows more the more you look, I'm also getting an ape and an insect, crazy indeed!
adbc: I love that "am I looking up? am I looking down? am I looking along?" effect and the colours too.
Tim82: three more super images (my favourite is the Abstract Reef) and the colours are gorgeous.

Crazy Clown
mermaid - I see the clown. Nice woody-looking material, well done.
Fascinating. The longer you look at it, the more you think you see. Very good work.
@ mermaid010: could also be some sci-fi insectoid. Scary and fascinating
mermaid : great image, good choice of material.
My first entry - Train Station - modeled in Mandelbulb.
@ adbc: An endless depth. Very well done.
adbc - fascinating, one is drawn into the picture to the vanishing point. Great colours, too.
Entry #1 Curls and Whirls
I thought I'd start simple: just a reflective box with a couple of objects modelled in Wings3D inside.
Some lovely entries so far - I'll need to spend some time later to look through them all!
WOW @ all here.... outstanding Pictures.
When I'm looking at this, I'm feeling very small.... this is absolute not my theme.
@ adbc: impressive sense of speed. Almost frightening.
