Okay, here is Kwan 8. I really like this character, he is extremely realistic, love his features and he has a great, muscular build.
This is Haru. Another great-looking guy! He comes with facepaint, tattoo, bodyhair, makeup, and facial hair options.
Tamati, front and back. I did this to show the spinal scar that some people were complaining about. The more I look at it, it looks like my mom's spinal surgery scar. I forget about that, but it does! maybe it is an old war injury. Regardless, this is a super realistic figure, fantastic body, overall, he looks great.
A lot of work went into the Crusher armor. It's a bit cartoony, and the style is too female for me. big thighs, big shoulders, narrow arms and hips and a bikini pelvis. However, the great news about it is is comes in lots of little pieces, so you can kitbash away.
Think that's the most awsome set of characters released on the same day (if I exclude the toon characters I favor).
I agree. the Kwans are exceptional. But I do question whether 3 characters really equates to a pro bundle release. This bundle is both strong and weak in a number of ways.
Yeah, the soaking wet skins just look like he's covered in boils.
LOL. I think they aren't very flattering, but there are different settings I've been messing around wtih. I think taking the gray color out looks a bit better. Like this.... Still working on optimizing the settings though. Maybe they will never stop looking like a contagion of some sort.
This one looks better to me. Couple of observations from my perspective is the water really needs more runs instead of so many bubbles and the bubbles need to be more irregular shaped. Usually water is not perfectly round and most do not look nothing alike. Noticed to some of the runs on the chest look unnatural they are running at to steep of an angle instead of down his chest.
I think it is possible there are just too many drops. In order for that to happen, you 're going to have a really oily surface. I'll look since the set includss 8 premades to see if one looks better.
Here is dForce Young hair with and without dforce. The difference I can see is fairly minor. There is some slight compression of the hair strands. But is it worth the extra time to use?
I personally don't like dForce hair. the last thing I want to do when posing my figure is to simulate a hair.
Still, the style here is realistic. If a touch youthful looking for this figure. This is also a style that I don't have to dforce which I love. It looks nearly the same without dforce. There is a name discrepency with this product. In the product page it is called dfroreced young hair. In the hair section it is called just young hair. Also the icons are weird. They use multiple characters in the colored section. It makes me feel this wasn't desiged to go with Kwan but another figure entrely.
Without dForce
With dForce
They made a wrestling bundle!
Clearly the wrestling stuff belonged in the pro release bundle and the items they put in the kwan aliens bundle was just for other figures. I'm not complaining. I gladly bought both but what an odd way to market a figure.
Well ... PC+ people who got the banners and who buy both bundles spend $90+ for both bundles, compared to $45-66 (depending on banner/discount for specific items/frequent shoppers) for a single pro bundle. And as I understand it, there are a lot of people out there who aren't PC+ or frequent flyers, and who are willing to pay full new-product price; roughly $79 for the wrestling bundle and $140 (!!!) for the Aliens vs Enemies bundle. It doesn't make sense from a customer point of view, but it makes a lot of sense from the business side.
Some Aura renders
I used so many morphs and car shaders
Very nice with your Bandori renders! I like them a lot.
Here is Boyd with dForce Young hair wearing the invincible wrestler outfit. He changes his hair a lot, so I had no problem bleaching it and seeing how it looks. The hair is dforce, but my many attempts with dforce made it only wave slightly in the breeze. It comes with a skull cap, a beard and the hair. The bangs seem permanently affixed, and as much as I tried, I couldn't really budge them.
The skull cap might be interesting paired with other sets. I liked the hairline, and I did like the beard too. If Boyd didn't smile, he could probably wear the beard, but the beard clipped with his mouth when I used it in a render, so no can use that.
Those look good. I try & try & even though I find it reasonably easy to make the Stand Based Hair that dForce Hair is based off of I cannot get the '2D original fur materials' that a lot of animal models have apply correctly because the SBH as soon as your make it translucent enough to be like real hair the creature looks bald but if you set the translucency none (100% not 0%) so the creature doesn't look like it has the mange, the colors ain't right.
Modern Military outfit Winter Camo.
Outfit applied without smoothing enabled on some bits, which means muscles were poking through. Some parts of the outfit, like the helmet gloves have nice detailing. There is some cotton jerseyknit looking fabric applied to the shirt... And my eyes can't detect any fabric weave in the pants. The main belt around the waist, has a really plain and unadorned buckle. The gloves seem to have logos and the watch is nice.
Textures applied in a cascade way, so you click a piece of the main suit, select one of the color options, an it recolors most of it. The accessories, which include helmet and gloves, and thigh straps must be colored individually.
This is a nice basic, but it doesn't have the realism I desire as it looks like marvelous designer-wear, and has a lesser degree of realism because of it.
Still, it is pretty good considering some of the content/outfits we've been getting in pro bundles lately. Defintely better than Crusher Armor.
Aww thanks! I like your hadsome guy renders
Thanks BandoriFan, glad you like them!
I liked the new outfit by Peache, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-midday-outfit-for-genesis-8-females and the promos were nice, so I copied this style when I rendered Owen wearing it. The pants required a lot of work. They sit petty high by default, and because they are dforce there is some sag, but once I used fit control to tug them down, and reduced their largeness they fit better. I used Peache's kind of faded powdery render style since I thought it looked nice for this.
They look nice on Owen, but there is something wrong with the lace tip near his left hand. Did it get stuck to his hand during dForce? Or is it an autofit error from G8F to G8M?
Stuck I believe. There is also some extra hip fabric when I tugged them down that bagged on his right hip.
The ties have a lot of movements but I figured he was about to undo them so I'd leave his hand playing with it.
Oh, I see now. He is holding the tie. I misinterpreted it. Because of the angle of the tie, I thought it was a stretched skinny lace tip. when I zoomed the picture full size, I can see it better. I didn't notice anything off about the right hip at all until you called attention to it. It is very minor, though, kind of just a fabric fold or wrinkle. I think the pants work well on him.
Sachar HD for Ashan 8 is a new male figure, with facial tattoo markings, eye options, and a very nice skin tone. The olive promos do not really do him justice as they make him look quite gray.
Unfortunately, he has some rather deep baked in nipple/chest hair which is difficult to do much with, which is too bad. It is especailly bad up close.
I do like the chin tattoos. His eyes are particularly gorgeous.
EJ Argos is a very nice recently released figure. he comes with several facial hair options, including goatee, soul patch, and mustache. He also includes a very nice hair, with many different color options. There are multiple skin tones, all fairly light-skinned. He has an included wet skin option, and his own elements preload. There area couple tattoos as well.
First things first, he has some fairly strong normals on his face, which give him a permanent scowl, which I felt impacts his expression. You can easily remove the normals, and replace them with another character's or tone them down if you want him to look younger. Since he has no wrinkles anywhere else, it does look a bit odd to have that many lines just only on his face.
His included elements is unusual, but you can attach them, and then reapply the skin, if you need to. The wet skin looks really good and it is easy to apply and remove.Unfrotunately the wet skin... It does not apply to the genitals at all I'm not sure why.. am I missing something? .
Three is the default load, and an "apply extra details" morph.
There are included 10 poses to go with the figure, and a ton of partials. He has a great masculine hairline!
I like this figure. It has a lot of detail, and will be great for kitbashing.
The Day After HDRI is my new favorite thing. It renders so quickly, and produces a nice edgy environment and scene.
Here Owen and Boyd are wearing SdeB's New PantherG8M suit. I just replaced one of the patches.
Very nice!
Very nice renders of Argos! I think I'll pass on him (simply because I can't have everything) but he seems like a high quality character.
ETA: changed my mind, will probably get him. Knowing myself, I will probably flip-flop a while longer before finally putting him in my cart
