Now that I stopped him for a more static pose, I realize he isn't all that far off from the default appearance of Matt--even though most morphs are dialed quite a bit from zero... I guess, I'd have to either come up with a manual morph in a 3d program or just leave him as is, since he's unique enough by virtue of no one else using Millennium Preschoolers anymore %-P
Here's the aforementioned static pose. He isn't too thrilled about having to stay still %-P Or he's showing an attitude because he's really embarrassed of his clipping lower res t-shirt?
Sorry for the dim lighting again--it shows his eyes (supposed to be kind of metallic and very reflective... I'm still working on that >.>)
...also sorry for hijacking the thread x.xIt's not hijacking at all since this is exactly what this thread is for. It's definitely those eyes that give the "not quite human" look to him. They're seriously creepy.
It's the eyes, posture, and facial expressions that supposed to give it away. I'm still working on all three :D
And they get better when they're outside--their eyes turn black.
In low/no light, both the iris and the sclera become a bit glassy and black to absorb more light. Should be like a glass film over an endless space (almost no light escaping, so seems like there are no walls, etc), although the pupil (that gets elongated and enlarged) seems to be glowing a bit, since it's basically a hole (some light reflected by a crystalline layer below retina still escapes). That's going to be tricky to replicate O.o
...maybe make the pupil semi-transparent and an emitter of light (via ubersurface) somehow? I got the sclera and iris being glossy black so far...
In day light the eyes are black and reflective to filter the excessive light. Should be able to rapidly switch between the two states via a photo-reactive chemical in the sclera, iris, and cornea.
Here are the other two with slightly better lighting to show their faces.
Joseph (the dude behind) is still a normal dude, unlike the kids.
...I should really find a better texture for him--those eyebrows don't even look real O.o
what's a good hairy chest "real man" type texture for M5?
EDIT: bleh. trying to do the black eye thing and so far not much luck. Rendering it just turns the eye black unless I do an extreme close up. Here's an example (second and third images so I don't double post). Only one of my two monitors can detect the slight highlight on the pupil on the second pic...
...I wonder how hard it would be to put a spherical area light inside the eye and making the pupil semi-transparent...
edit2: moved black eye question to my own thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/31846/
Youu're very welcome and thank you so much, Scott; that means a lot since I'm a fan :cheese: I went for a more Mediterranean look for Diana because I've always thought her people would be Greco-Roman, ethnically; I used a Greek Model as a reference (I forget which one :red: )
Love this thread; it's a PITA when a subscription is borked :blank:
Depends on the particular version of the Amazon myth you are talking about, some placed them in Anatolia which would be considered as part of modern day Turkey. But I always assumed she would have some degree of "Olive complexion".
I believe the comics usually have weighed in on the Greek side.
