    This is my Dawn Walker.

I was curious how well Dawn would do with body part scaling, so I scaled every single body part she has ... except her hip. That I left alone. Though body part scaling has improved a lot in Poser, there were always little tiny adjustments that V4 needed. But, Dawn poses amazingly well. even in some of the extreme poses I tried. Her feet are FUN to scale. Each little toe can be scaled seperately from each other. Gecko toes would be possible. I exaggerated the tips of her fingers and her toes more than the rest of her body. Ha ... like I didn't exaggerate the rest of her body too!

She's not a Spindling, but that's only because she doesn't yet have Creature morphs. I did modify her face with the Poser Morphing Tool, and I dialed in some of the base and starter morphs in both her face and body. She certainly can't be said to have man size shoulders now. I believe I only went down the size B with her breasts. I could have gone down to A or no breasts at all. How wonderful it's possible to make a small breasted woman immediately (and no crumbled mesh) instead of having to wait a year or more for something that almost works. Her abs are a bit much in my opinion, but they were going to be hidden under clothing, so I ignored them. Otherwise, I'd have smoothed them out some with the Morphing Tool.

I love how flexible her expressions are considering how limited the base and starter morphs are. Once we get the morph packs that are planned, I will be in heaven.

My first character is a mostly M5 character I call Martin. He's my favorite for many reasons plus he also looks like the kind of male characters I end up making. I almost always end up using the H3 head shape to soften/toon up the face. I don't like H5 that much and other shapes I have mess up the lacrimals. Here he is standing next to the default Genesis, which I happen to like in this render and would probably render it like that more often now. :)

My second character is a Reby Sky character. (I dialed Reby to 1.00 then mixed things up.) Around the same time I started making her, I had also just downloaded RAMWolff's morphs and wanted to play around with those. (This was before the recent update.) I was going for a somewhat model body-type with an "average girl" face. Her usual appearance how she looks like in the red dress, the other render of her is just to show off the shape. Critiques appreciated on her.

Both [morphed] characters shown, particularly Martin's face, also rely on DieTrying's 182 V4 Morphs for Genesis and the Evolution morphs. I tend to use the Creature morphs too to get different ear shapes.

EDIT: I added one more just because.

Nice characters...I think Martin is my favorite.

Nice work...I grabbed Dawn and have played with her a little (mostly to see if I can get Genesis clothes to fit her...I've had some success so far). I like what you've done with her.

Another PAs work that I is Ghost of Macbeth (http://www.daz3d.com/ghostofmacbeth)
I have a number morph sets from that artist. I like the way the head morphs give my character a hard edge tough guy appearance. In this one I used one from the Pirate collection, which is no longer available, but a lot of the other head morph sets would work in its place.

Great thread! Thank you so much for starting it Scott :-)

A few of the custom-dialed characters I did for my contest, with links to formulas and more information:

    Edgar Allan Poe

Recognized him right away; wonderful work! :)

Opps... let me move that under your Reserved posts. Do not want to break your work flow.

    So here it is again...

Like Scott, I may have said this before; this really looks awesome! ;-)

My own small contributions: The Princess and The farmboy :-P

This is a (hopefully) semi-final draft of my Elvis morph for M5, likely to be released as a freebie, followed by my own rendition of Superman for Genesis!

Constructive critique is welcome! Coming soon are some more original characters!

I'd spent quite a bit of time working with Genesis and more recently the Genesis 2 Female. I got started putting together a few different characters in order to test render each one, so I created a scene in where I could put each next to one another. I like the Genesis/2 platform because of the easy range of sizes and heights you can achieve with just the morph packs. I use the Subsurface Toon Shaders because of the range of colors and the consistent look that you can achieve between them --plus I favor the toony look for the kind of work that I'm putting together. Anyway, each time I create a new female figure, I put her in the scene and re-render. I Just call this one Diversity and there are a mix of Genesis and Genesis 2 females in the render.

This one, I started with a specific goal in mind. I'm doing a story with these characters, and in placing objects in the house, I realized that for realism, I'd need to add a few personal touches like a family photos. So when I started putting together the characters, I started with trying very hard to make them look like they were all members of the same family, which is not as easy as it sounds. Basically, with the boys, I started with the Father which is a custom shaping of David 5. Once I was satisfied with the look of the father, I would vary features slightly from son to son until their personalities came out in the picture. In order to add to that, I use the Genesis Eyebrows so that I could make their looks similar. Each son shares features in common with the father and some with the mother. Mother and Daughter share the same hairline, and eyebrows. The daughter is a combination of Young Teens Julie and Hitomi and a little of V4 for Genesis. The mother is Pure V4 with Some Eastern Beauty added in to round things out. I used the Head Morph Resource kits 1-3 heavily all around for tweaking facial features. In the end, I ended up with this image that's looks beautiful in a picture frame sitting on the mantle.

I have been reading Robert Asprin's Myth series again. I decided to try to make the characters as I imagine them.
This is Ajax the archer. It is still a work in progress but I am getting close to how I picture him in my mind.

    Catching up...

@greycat: you've got so many cool characters...love the Commander Scarlet render, and Ape.

@banditcameraman: Thanks for the compliment on Poe. :) Great job with the superheroes...I especially liked your interpretation of "the Princess."

@Gregorius: Recognized Elvis right away...I think the bottom half of the face may be a bit angular... Otherwise I guess my suggestion is try a few "Elvis-like" expressions to see if your character can emote authentically, and to see if you notice any differences that might be fixable. Very good job overall.

@Szark: This one's tough for me because looks very much like a caricature of a certain American political figure (initials P.B.) and it's hard to see past that. If I try really hard to see past it I think the character is pretty cool. I suppose the resemblance is probably coincidental, but if not you nailed it. ;-)

@will2power: Nice assortment of characters...the family portrait came out really well, I think. I like the use of the subsurface toon shaders.

@CyberDog: Not familiar with that series but he looks good. Wondering what you used for the beard...and the clothes--are they from Old Man Rex?

Here is me.. well as me as I could do... folks recognize it so it's good enough for me. I used these items...

    Genesis 1 figure
    Manly Men M5
Ethnicity Bundel: Native Am Male A
Genesis Face Morphs Resource Kit 1-4
    Zev0's Aging for Genesis

Now you know the face behind the Jader face, sort of.

My new elf boy, Dimi. Well, boy.. in human years he'd be old, but time passes differently for elves. Even for 3/4 elves, for technically, he's no full elf. He's also quite mad. But that's really his ring's fault.

Ah yes, my brain is making stories again and demanded visuals. I need to fix that left eye, I suppose..

Looks good, Kismet2012...she has a very powerful-looking physique (especially trunk and upper body) but still carries that sense of feminine grace. Sort of an Olympian appearance.

    Oh...forgot to mention:

On my Tudor characters above, Henry's skin texture is Thomas, Edward's is Braxton, and Elizabeth's is Tamesis (Sylvan). Thanks to Wilmap for some of the clothing! :)

Thanks Scott. She is kinda buff. Not something I was planning. She just turned out that way. :-)

I would also like to thank Wilmap for the great outfit.

My latest project, funnily enough one that was born during a sleepless night :)

The base is Genesis 2 female, with some Dark Elves forr gen2fem, v6, Norma, Nyssa, Viann and Gia dialled in, both for body and head shape :)

Also more dials spun too, including some from Zev0's shapeshifter

Skin is the Bree one that came with the gen2fem base, worked with it in photoshop for a bit of different skintone and scars, both of those need more work though *grins*

The eyes are the red glowing ones from Dark Elves... hmm.. cna't remmeber anything else at the moment ^^

She is a WIP, but I have some plans for her *grins* Now, let me introduce to you....

    Crimson...

A name given to her when she graduated the Academy....
A name of old, feared and whispered in the dark....
A name of an assassin of old....

A name she has carried through time, even she herself can barely remember her birth name anymore. But than again, age do tend to do funny things with ones memory....
