wasn't happy with the doors... so I redid them yesterday...
My Wacky FJ Ute wireframe.... how hard is it to get the mesh straight.... awefully hard!
I started this model off using a cube.
I've created a video tut on modelling a tyre .. woohoo..
no sound though as I don't have a michrophone.. lol
It goes for 13 minutes... be prepared to be bored
Stezza, I only watched half (gotta run) but it was excellent!! Many thanks.
Edit - watched it all. Excellent choice for a tutorial. Pretty clear, even without narration. I gained a lot just from watching your workflow.
Actually, ZERO per cent of it was boring.
I still think you could be a PA, selling tutorials amd models. That FJ Ute is ridiculous! So many freaking curves...
Great video, @Stezza. Thank you! Awesome model. I always forget about the deformer menu in the vertex modeler. Great tip.
Question - although not necessary if a procedural shader is being applied, but any thoughts on best approach to UVmapping the treads if that sort of detail is desired?
Excellent tutorial Stezza, added it to my Carrara tutorials folder !!!
thanks for the comments.. glad it came across fairly simple like and easy to follow
@Diomede I don't like Carrara's UV mapper so when I do need it done I usually export the model and import into UVMapper and go from there... I find that the quickest and easiest
My next Wacky Model
A Wacky Glider of some sort ...
M4 taking it for a spin....
Very cool. The M4 image makes me think of animation. Gliders can work well since they move smoothly without propellers, etc. Here's a 1 minute glider story I did a few years ago.
Another beautiful model, Stezza.
And a really fun animation, SteveK! Arrrrrrr!
Thanks. I think I mentioned somewhere back there that I had a mocap with M4 jumping and grabbing onto a passing air vehicle, and finally decided to try it in the "Jump" challenge at Carrarators. Took a lot of fiddling in the timeline to get it to work, but it was interesting.
thanks and yes .. very good Steve
Stezza, you are on a roll, a great role model, I rolly mean that. :) But seriously, the master of edge loops you are
thanks for that
A Wacky Witches Wender!
today's wacky model...
Very nice work !!!
Wendy thinks your wender would make a nice house for a bald witch
That's a wonderful wacky wender for a bald witch named Wendy :)
Nice house stezza.
Here's one for you.
Q What do you call a three legged Donkey?
A: ʎʞuoM :)

Wendy the Wacky Witch from Wendering Way....
Here is the Wacky Witch House model unshaded or textured for your hairy scarey renders!
attached in zip file
my ipad keeps rotating the screen
TY Stezza will try to squeeze a wender in this weekend
Thanks for the model, Stezza. Very nice, but it also made me realize that your use of shaders in this render is just masterful.
Thanks UB
the reason I left it shaderless was so that if anyone used it they could experiment with shaders and create their own... a masterful plan I thought lol
made this wacky weapon for the recent Carrara Challenge #43
today's Wacky Model
A Paper Clip
haven't I seen you around somewhere!
download file attached for your educational purposes... includes some basic morphs eyes/brows/hand
enjoy
Cool !!!
I can see them as toys you find in Kellogs corn flakes packets :)
I never got stationary in my cereals just little cars you clicked together etc
The playful effect you achieved here - with a paper clip! - really surprised me. Very creative.
I still have nightmares from the old Micro$oft paperclip, and that was what, 20 years ago?
Didn't you miss one?
