Is anyone else experiencing shopping fatique? With the "Is this the right price?" and "What are other people finding? Do I need to hard refresh?"  It's like when I put something in the cart, I am wondering if that's supposed to be right, if it's higher than it was a minute previously, etc. And heavens, too many sections with different discounts. You have to check them in the cart before you move on, or you won't remember what's what. This is getting insane to me.

FYI Any of you who wanted The Legend outfit, it's at it's lowest price (on the chart it was 24.48 in October, but that doesn't show additional discounts) at $17.13 and 65% off (with the 30% Loyalty)  EDIT: With purchase of new release.

It's in the Featured Stores on this page. If you have the 30% loyalty and the store item is 40% to start with, you should be getting 65% off.

I tend not to purchase female content- I have so much I haven't used and lets be honest most of the figure-related content is female.. So no, fatigue about figures and content for men has hit yet.

I really don't need too much in the way of environments, although a dforce bedroom with sheets and cushions would be nice, I'm finding that unless something is unique or deeply discounted I'm passing due to already having similar stuff.

When it comes to new stuff I buy right away if its something I want- never know when it might disappear. If I only want say a single item in a set or can afford to miss out on it if it is pulled  I wishlist for later.

Nope. I have 30% loyalty, but it's only showing at 58% off, at $20.56

I had just double checked that-  it goes 50% with purchase of new release, instead of just the 40%, so that's what triggering the difference. It's ANY new release though.

It's showing 58% off in my cart, and yes, I do have the 30% off Loyalty Rewards bonus and it was showing 40% off.

Edited to add: It's still a good deal at that price, considering it fits both G3F and G8F.

@daywalkerdesigns  Try a new release (any of them, like a PC+) and the price should drop. I've got Tranquil Pool in my cart (not a PC+)

It's definitely making me shop less.Way too much time and energy required, and I'm kinda tired of the complexity. It's a pain.

I don't find it all that complex, in theory. It's not much different than having six sales pages up at once, each with their own offers. However, with so many things not working as they should, (regardless of whether the glitching is in our favor or Daz's,) it's lot more work than fun. A shame really, as Daz has obviously put a lot of thought into giving us great deals this month.

Ati and co's (i'm sorry, I'm blanking on the other name) - their daz browser add on is an absolute boon - the discount shows in teh cart so you pretty much know immediately whether it's right or wrong. I'd never shop here without it anymore.

Overdrawn, who developed the original Daz Deals. It was awesome before the two decided to collaborate and incorporate several of Ati's code snippets. "And the rest is history."

Actually, his name is easy for me to remember, because if I'm not careful, Daz Deals will help me achieve that state with my bank account! lol

Thinking about all of you out in California who are being threatened / impacted by the fires. Here's the ABC newstation for Los Angeles and Southern California, in case you'd like to keep up with the latest. A fourth fire has broken out closer to Los Angeles.

I'd be lost without the addon. But it's surfing through all the pages of items over and over. I tend to clean out my wishlist and keep it pared down. Then I'm worried I'll miss things that I wouldn't buy unless they are really inexpensive. I need multiple wishlists so badly!!!!

LOL... I had Izanami for G3F/G8F in my cart since her release hoping to use it to trigger something I wanted, then Darwin's Giovanni hit the store and I couldn't checkout fast enough!  I think there are some really nice things coming out, but after the PA/PC+ sales, it's difficult to get excited enough to part with my store credit!

Ooooh, I forgot to grab her when I got him. Hopefully there is something else interesting tomorrow.

Oh... my... goodness - I think that's @DarwinsMishap 's best character yet! Wow! I've been tutoring a friend's daughter all day and hadn't really looked at the sale. I'm going to have to pull the trigger on Giovanni, and I've also been debating about Izanami for G3F/G8F. I'm just loving it when vendors make it G3/G8.

Giovanni and Izanami, plus Stonemason's Recon Drone for $29. Renders to come tomorrow, maybe.

She looks like her a bit but the eyes aren’t the same and she’s got a bit of Angelina Jolie mixed in

Interesting. I can see that also. She's definitely not cookie cutter, imo.

  • Aw, thank you, everyone.  Izanami is a fantastic character as well- Mousso does excellent work.

Iray HDRI: Apocalyptic Plant Indoors Set 2       Slide3D  The Room

I changed the white of the bed to gray/black, otherwise the quilted look seemed too noticeable for my personal preferences. Settings:

If you like it, change your Base color toGray/Black at  51/51/51 and your Glossy Color to a Dark Slate Blue 56 / 67 / 86
The walls can each be hidden and there's nice details. It's also a spacious room, you don't feel crowded when swinging the camera around. It's easy to select props and hide them (such as paintings on the wall) if they get in the way when you hide that wall.

The Apocalyptic lights are very easy to use, this was with my typical Film ISO 135 and Exposure Value 13.65.

Mindie (Gen8F)        Miss Von Dark Outfit and Accessories (Gen3F)       Pro-Studio HDRI Lighting System 3      Santana Hair (Gen8F)

    SY Clothing Breast Helper (Gen8F)

Since it's Goth day in the store, here's Mindie wearing Miss Von Dark Outfit.

The Pro-Studio Lighting set 3 had quite a few yellow ones, I found one I liked but didn't want the yellow overtones. So I changed the light point to yellow (in Tone Mapping. Put the color in that you're trying to REDUCE, do NOT put in what you're trying to add.) Then in postwork, I added a bit more blue tinge.

Santana Hair is fun, easy to use, and tons of morphs. One click hides the headband.

If you're doing Genesis 8, do get the Breast Helper. This raises the area between the breasts so you don't get the crinkly semi circles under the breasts or a jagged line between them. Used for Mindie. I also reduced her breasts by 15.3%.

This is Vincent.  He has three skin translucency options and I picked the middle one.  He comes with facial hair options, which I haven't used here.  I did find his lips were too pale (as it should be for a vampy type character) so I tweaked the color just a little bit.  The first render is without any lights.  I really like how his eyes sparkle.  The second is using OOT Male Iray Lights, which I think put some interesting shadows on his face and gave him a bit of mystery.  His eyes aren't as sparkly because of the shadows from using the light set, but a spotlight or post work will easily bring them out.  He's wearing the Time Soldier Outfit.  The outfit comes with some gold upper arm armor to match the gold gloves.  I took the armor off.  I was unable to take the gloves off - when I did, his hands disappeared as well (I don't know why).  Same thing happened when I only cut out the opacity of the gloves.  I'm sure I will figure it out.  I also took off some gold trimming from the shoulder areas.  If you want to see the orig outfit, I'm doing some tests of the Look At Me Pose Controls product on my own thread.  Since I'm using the same character/clothes, I didn't want to spam this thread.  The hair is Axel.

some outfits do that - it turns the body parts invisible when you load the outfit (probably to help with poke-thru) I don't like the practice myself - i'd rather do it myself. The Delta outfit does the same thing with her boots. Either delete the item in question (not make it invisible but actually delete it) or just go to the body part and turn it visible again.

Thanks @jakiblue.  I believe I checked to make sure the hands were turned on, but maybe I needed to follow the bones higher or something.  I'll check it next time I load up the same scene.  So long as there is a way to get the hands back, I'm good with that. Otherwise, I figured one can just render without gloves and then with, and use photoshop to edit out the unwanted parts.

  • When this happens, you can fit the clothes to a figure, make that figure invisible, then fit that figure to your actual character. I think. It's been a while since I ran into that.

  • Worlds_EdgeWorlds_Edge Posts: 2,152

I've never heard of fitting a figure to a figure!  I'll have to look into that and what else that function is useful for.  Thanks for mentioning it @agent unawares.
