Speaking of zombies, I've always thought the Parkside series would be a great setting for a zombie apocalypse. Out of curiosity, what was the inspiration for those sets?

Well Parkside was an extension really based off of West Park. I've always loved abandon asylums, and that naturally grew into various different environments. So yea, Parkside was just a fictional place in which I could set all this, Zombie Apocalypse, post apocalyptic , something extra-dimensional freaky weird stuff... that's all up to you ;)
And there was me thinking you had been playing Silent Hill for too long :D

To my shame, I've never actually played it - saw the film, which was pretty cool.. but never the game.

Used one of Jacks best sets for the background of this image. Picture of one of the players characters in one of my games.

Meet Mr William Porter, former lieutenant in the British Army in Africa and obsessed with weather. Currently possessed by the spirit that possessed Vlad the Impaler and that also is known as Michael the archangel, hence the quite white streaks in his otherwise still dark brown hair. He's carrying an old Mayan sacrificial dagger on his way to rid the world of yet another nazi demon.

Sounds like a good synopsis of my mental state these last few days.. hallucination is always fun!

nice to see you up and about Jack even though in a state of zombiefication. :)

Cheers mate.. yea, I do feel like I could have quite possibly died in the night and have since been reanimated..

    So, Jack Zombalin? :)

    ROFL!
Maybe Jack has been replaced by something the cat dragged in...
More like what the cat has regurgitated :)
Uh oh, sounds like the morning after back in my drinking days. Nasty!

Seriously though, do feel better soon Jack.

Indeed, here is my take Chris Redfield in Resident Evil:

    Thanks for the comments :)

I don't normally do this but I am thinking of re-doing the picture just a bit. i wanted a bit more action but wasn't sure i could pull it off but now i am thinking I just may give it a try.

Oh and just for fun here is a side side by side view of the back ground for the picture. the post worked version and original render.

I have been practicing lately trying to get better so i like keeping these around to see how i been doing and what i can do better at some point.

How did you fake the lighting in the scene? You've obviously done a great deal of postwork to the image to get it to that level, but I'm curious as to how to achieve similar results. Please teach me, sensei!

lol, can always count on ya buddy!

MM Fails today as I allready HAVE Caput Caseum from christmas I can't get the "buy 2 bonus" when adding you bundle (counts as one item).

So adding all three items to cart: $26.05
    Adding bundle to cart: $31.47

How come they call Caput Caseum "new" when it was in the christmas sale, breaks MM for me?

Caput was in the PC anniversary sale - checked my order date: October 12, 2012

Not that I want to deny you your well earned money but the way MM works this year (with 50% for buy 2 plus extra 10% if you had some other stuff) and the "working" [Purchased]-button (first time I've cursed it), it's a strange thing to release something that has been available long ago as new (maybe they just added the wrong item?)

Btw - I took the $26 route, now off to whiskey testing with "rather newly inwed father in law".

Wasn't Caput a limited period item which isn't available in the store on a regular basis? It's not new, as is, but it would be new for those who haven't seen or purchased it in the last few months. So, I guess it's just an opportunity to sell it again. Given this, I wouldn't be surprised if the other limited duration stuff from last year are offered up for MM.

Could be, but that takes away the MM max bonus for us who got it.

It's the most frustrating part of this, I lose control at the last minute.. all I can say is that at the end of it I'll have my own post-mortem and then take it from there.

    Enjoy your whiskey tasting! :)

Testing a theory, I put the Platea Low Res and something else part of the MM sale... it works. Get's the additional discount to make the discount 50% instead of 30%.

Then I replaced it with the Platea bundle and something else in the cart that's part of the MM sale... it's not working.

Lastly, I tried the Caput item and another MM item... it works.

So if I'm getting this right, you don't need the Caput to get the 50%, just anything else from the MM. However, for some reason, the Platea bundle isn't getting the full discount. Might be a glitch or something.

Well, this was an instant buy (of course) - and I see all discounts applied, got the additional % after I also bought "Caput Caseum" (which I haven't got in the last sale, so it's fine for me as a MM item :D ).

Now I still need a second computer to play with it, seeing my render-pipeline tells me... this one will be free in about...a week *lol*
