I find that when I use a larger number of real world morphs, lowering the range can keep the results from looking too weird. But weird is fun too.
Uh, yeah, first time I tried it, I had some crazy funny results. I actually kept a few. After that, I kept the percentages down in the lower 30 to 50 % range until I figured out what I was getting and then adjusted from there. It is fun to play with, though, even with the weird crazy results I sometimes get.
I tend to use right around 20% to $28% and that seems to work the best for normal but noticible changes
Alright, so this is kind of silly, but I thought I would share. I wanted to do bubbles in my last render for the New User contest last month. I was going to make my own bubbles in Blender because I found it's meta ball thing, but discovered it was resource intensive the way I was using it. Chohole says that Bryce will do meta balls, but I haven't had a chance to check that out. I ran out of time so I ended up using what I had available in a purchased product. There are 3 in the store that I know of, but I only had one of them. I had 3D Bubbles, for V4 and K4, which are bubbles which come with a few morphs. I couldn't really get the looks that I wanted for the bubbles, though, when I was combining the different morphs by myself so I used the randomizer on them. I started out with the settings to zero out before each morph and to use limits which basically got me the same type of nondescript bubbles that I was making on my own. I tried having Randomizer set to NOT zero anything before each morph so it would kind of build up different shapes. I also turned off limits. That helped some and I did get some interesting shapes.
I will still have to figure out how to make my own bubbles so they actually look like bubbles with all the really cool, crazy shapes that they can get depending on the wind. But, until then, using the Randomizer really saved the day with bubbles for my contest entry. Since I don't usually load those images to my gallery until after the judging, just a personal preference, I made an image which has the 25 different bubble shapes that I made with the Randomizer.
What a great idea KM! Just goes to show you never know til you try something.
Well I guess this thread is kinda dead at this point, but figured I would post my latest with the randomizer.
This is Amari, she is a model from Africa. The skin is mine from a couple of merchant resources (still a WIP)
Nice skin! I don't think some threads really die. They may languish a little from time to time as people get busy. It never hurts to add to them. I have a few ideas in the works for my a few of my randomized characters. Just really busy and most of my renders are really slow! I do like your character, though, as she is very unique looking. She turned out really nice.
FSMCDesigns I really like her skin its beautiful and her strong jawline and sharp cheekbones are stunning.
Its not dead, just resting lol. I have been a bit busy with other projects but have one to add too.
I will have a closer one of her face to add a bit later, there is a large patch of blow out or fireflies on the hair on the portrait that I can't get rid of so I am going to have to do it in postwork.
hahah That's cool!I I didn't realize this product works on other things other than people/characters. I'm definitely going to have to get this! :D
I'm really enjoying these unique an cool characters! I didn't realize this also works on anything else that has morphs. This sounds like an amazing product - ahhhh now I have something else on my "must get" list! heheh :D
I haven't tried it, but I think @barbult was even using is it on hair for wild hairstyles, too. It will randomize anything that has a morph that it can find.
edit: grammar or typo, take your pick. It was wrong in either case.
It does work on most things with a morph although I haven't tried anything but people yet
Love this script!
Playing with G2M. Here is Josh :
Wow he looks great xmasrose!
Great looking character! What skin is that? Those eyebrows are so unique looking!
Ice Dragon Art and Knittinmommy thank you!
The skin is Joshua for M4 by Phoenix1966 : http://www.daz3d.com/joshua-for-m4.
I really like his work, wish he would make some for Genesis3.
Wouldn't you know I happen to have that? I think it was something I picked up on sale and haven't used yet. I'll have to dig through the content library and play around with that. Thanks!
"Daemon" G2M Creature Creator morphs, Muscularity, Vascularity.
Tjohn that is awesome!
Thank you! Pushed the Randomize button until this came out. STR is FUN!
Way too fun! And FYI it works on the new TeraDome 3.
@Tjohn Saw this in the Iray thread. Great morph!
Sonja, I definitely want to try that when I load up TD3. I got it installed last night, but haven't had a chance to try loading it into DS yet. Today, though!
Thank you!
Just wanted to show what one can do with the Randomizer and the new G3F Skin Builder. These two products work incredibly well together.
She looks awesome, Sonja!

Thank you very much!
I agree, great job Sonja!
Oh, nice job, Sonja! I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. The first of next month I plan to sit down and give it a try. This next week is just going to be too busy. In the meantime, I have downloaded it so it's ready and waiting for me.
