It will update tomorrow - and you can earn only one punch per day.

I already feel sorry for the moderators... Judging by the last two years, from now on, for a month, the most common problems you'll be responding to ad nauseam will be "I purchased today, and I see no punches" and "I made purchases for three days in a row last week, and I have no punches". It seems to me that Daz did a good job this year trying to explain the punch system, but I think it's still missing the two disclaimers:

    1. Punches only register on the next day.

    2. Punches expire, so to have three punches, you have to have made purchases in the three consecutive days before "today", not three purchases any time during the month.

Also please clarify whether or not purchase of a gift card results in a punch the next day

Will ask, but I suspect most of them will be in a turkey-induced stupor (or a cooking-induced panic).

These are both in there, but I get how it's easy for brains to just not intake everything when there's so much about a sale you're trying to absorb at once. (Goodness knows I've missed tons of "obvious" stuff in the past)

#1 covered in the description: A purchase today will get you a punch tomorrow.

#2 covered in the fine print: When you miss 1 day of purchasing, the punch deal starts over.

I purchased gift cards but there is no change in Punch Cards, So I bought another product and used the DO discount which was not very cost-effective, but still no change.

So I came here to seek answers, Now I know you may not see the changes until the next day.

Well, I should double check the article here before spending any money.

In previous incarnations, missing a day dropped you one punch, but you still had the other two. This tells me that I loose all three, starting over with zero punches. Doesn't sound fair.

IIRC you also did drop back to 0 last year, at least at the begining of the sale. I think they changed the rules during the sale.

I have a query regarding the time zones used in punch card systems.
Specifically, when punch card rules mention terms like "a day", "daily" or "the next day," which time zone are they referring to? Is it Mountain Standard Time (MST), Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), or the user's local time?

I encountered a strange occurrence last year. A hole that had been closed on my card was inexplicably reopened on the same day, according to MST.
I'm uncertain whether this indicates that the system operates on a time zone different from MST or if it was simply a technical glitch.

Without a clear understanding of the time zone used by the punch card system, it's difficult to maintain punched holes consistently on a daily basis.

Oh, yes, I remember the issues with the advent calendar turnover last year. This might be a good question to ask in the reporting thread, and hopefully the mods can highlight it to Daz, so that the Daz team can put the time zone explicitly in the punch description.

I would like to know about gift cards activating punch cards too. Last year, there was good daily deals on daz+ stuff in the $1-2 range and I used that for most of my punches when there was nothing big I wanted. It would be nice to know if buying a few dollars of gift card will keep the punches going. It seems in the last several years a lot of headache around punch cards is that you don't see an update until the next day. Seems they would be better off by showing you an indicator that your punch is pending or just make it that you get the punch (after) a qualifying purchase the same day. I know it would change the function, but it seems like that would simplify the system and reduce a massive number of support tickets and questions.

Ah, so it is there, just not prominent. I admit to have only skimmed through the thing as I've been with Daz long enough to just go, "Oh. Punches." and know how they work, lol.

But I still anticipate the large volume of questions.

It's hard to tell with Daz speak. Last year the punch worked so that 1 punch lasted 3 days. Day 1 got you a punch for the next 3 days. Day 2 would get you a second punch for the next 3 days with 2 days left on your first punch. Day 3 would get you a 3rd punch for the next 3 days with 2 days left on your second punch and 1 day left on your first punch. Then buying on the 4th day would give you a punch for the next 3 days to replace your first punch which would expire the next day. If at any point you missed a punch it would take you 3 days to stack them back up again. So I'd you missed 1 punch you would be stuck on 2 punches for like 2 days until the missed punch was worked out of the system. So is the system the same and this was just a very basic description of the same system, or will you legit just drop all punches to simplify the system, since how it worked was actually kind of complex last year and caused much confusion.

Oh no doubt. And it being Daz, they probably won't function as advertised anyway, at least for the first few days.and especially because they started it on a holiday when the support team is probably focusing on their families.

So holiday punch cards are already starting I see. If anyone's buying the deal of the day - here: https://www.daz3d.com/kaity-hd-for-genesis-9-feminine - could you maybe let me know whether there's a version without that red nose and without eyebrows? That'd be great. I like the character's skin (the morph not so much), but the info on the page is a bit scarce, and the red nose looks really very prominent.

I don't see any seperate eyebrows options nor any version without the red nose.

Thanks for the reply, so you bought her and don't see these options in the library files, am I getting this right?

That's correct. There is only one folder under her character name that has anything in it: Iray materials for skintone and make-up. Her body and head morphs are in the Parameters pane. That's all the included content I could find. It's kind of a strange way to set up a character from DAZ.

They shouild work on daz time, in synchrony with the switching in of new Debut releases, though as you say there were issues last year.

The answer on Gift Crads wasn't clear - they will probably, but not certainly, work today, but since it would then be possible to get a punch for buying the GC and punch fopr spending it they may look at changing that.

Ugh, I always seem to be like 6 cents away from the next token and have to buy something super cheap I don't want that I'll never find because it's so old, it's not in smart content.
