Her texture is really nice. Looks like a teenage girl with really good skin. Her arms look a bit short though?

    This is an impressive release.  I'm confused as to why for the alt shapes the Taller Hannako is 5'2'' where the Voluptous one is 5'3''.  Was this a mistake?  (I'm looking at the Pro Bundle and haven't purchased it just yet).

    This hair is what I am on about I might have it already in my out of control hair collection... I Ilike the character so might get it anyway

    I just opened up 'Hair' in the main Sales page and on page 6, I found https://www.daz3d.com/su-everyday-long-hair-for-genesis-9-81-and-8-female and the bangs seem to have morphs which match this image, and is also a long straight hair.

    I like her bundles, but not her. I feel like I can find a similar looking character for a lot less.

    Hanako is a fairly common female name in Japan. It's not unique to Toire no Hanako-san. For instance, the mother of Satoshi, the protagonist in Pokémon, is named Hanako.

    You are welcome. The product is from Sue Yee and seems to come up in many queries for 'what's that hair' threads. I own it and still have to search for the hair by the image. As I looked at the promos again, I was surprised at how versatile it was. I really need to start rendering again.

    Yeah true. The first thing that pops up in my mind when I hear Hanako is the toilet Hanako though lol.

    It is a bid odd...

    Still, one could always apply just the head morph to any other body morph and walk away happy.

    And the palms and soles look right to me (sometimes they can look WRONG), except the fingerprints are a bit too clear... never ever do any bad things Hanako! Unless you are wearing gloves.

    You're welcome Xyer0. It is amazing how easy it is to forget the basics, like check the feet! She was floating six inches off the ground on first full render. 

    @CHWT maybe she should take up quilting? Using a needle and the associated pinpricks and rolling a needle as you push in and out of layers of fabric destroy fingerprints. The DMV here in Denver CO could not get a complete set off of me. And I don't register electronically on computer screens, except on my little fingers.

    For some reason, the promo images of her have convinced me that DAZ needs to return to making separate male and female figures for the next Genesis iteration. I've felt that way for some time while working with G9.

    You reminded me those poor guys at the government office hit the jackpot when they came across a girl whose fingerprints of all ten fingers could not be recorded digitally after LOTS of attempts!

    Looks good Oso3D. Its's nice when a character is released with skin for nipples and gens for both sexes or neutral.

    Here is a close-up on Hanko 9 HD and Cosplay Style Jellyfish Hair. I had to look up what 'jellyfish hair' was. Those little fascinator like hat accessories are charming. I still have no clue how anyone keeps those things on their heads. I did change out her eye color to get close to her outfit, and then didn't show much of it. :-)

    @xyer0, I opened her mouth to expose the teeth, did not see brown. Do you have something brown in the scene or a light?

    I really like the character, but I really don't like the trend of fan-addon content.

    The problem is that a lot of the "add-on" aspect of it is just re-colouring the existing material on the same mesh.

    For example the Daybreak outfit comes with an interactive license option, however the Battlestar Galactica plugin, which is copyrighted, just looks the same with different colours.

    I did not watch battlestar galactica, so I don't know that what I am looking at is inspired by it. Why does simply changing the colours guarantee I won't be hit by a lawsuit if I used it in my own videogame?

     

    Hanako is the same situation. One is interactive license viable, the same outfit with a colour swap is not.

    The more of this stuff makes it into the store, the harder it's going to be for people who are not walking encyclopedias of fictional costumes to determine what is and isn't OK to use in a commercial setting.

    I like the character, and there are some nice options in the bundles. As OrangeFalcon pointed out, it is a little strange the "Taller" alternate shape, is actually shorter than her "Voluptuous" one.  But it doesn't appear to be a typo as the Alt Shape pack shows them all side-by-side and "Taller" is certainly smaller.  Just a little oddity, but not a big deal.

    On a side note, does anyone know what they used for the animal ears/tail?
