Thanks for the comments!!!
I am working on yet another wip render will post when it is done!!
Here is the theme for November Freebie Contest
I just got the Garibaldi Hair program for Daz Studio that they are now offering for free Yay!!!
Here is my first hair I made with that program.
Just to note: This program only works with G1&G2 (M&F) figures. (Also Big Cats and domestic cats)
I think as I learn more about this program I will be much better then this first hair giggles!!
I am going to play around with it more later and see how it goes lol
No Background
Yeah I downloaded it, not played with it yet Should be perfect for me, still using those generations
Also too the Garibaldi program only works with 3Delight which is another bonus for me!!!
Having so much fun, first try ...
DId you enable progressive when rendering? If you didn't, worth a try, certainly cut my rendertimes by 500%;)
Oh yes I did I think that progressive rendering is amazing!!
I have this but haven't used it in ages. You both did much better than I did with your first tries!
@IceDragonArt Well you should have seen all the ones I had to delete giggles they were truely horrible!!!
I am having fun trying this new program out though!!
@Saphirewild Did you download the very nice free hair presets for Genesis1? https://www.garibaldiexpress.com just in case you did miss them;)
I didn't yet not sure where to put them to show up in daz Sven Dullah !!
I love those newbie hairs! You could always pass them off as really funky hats!
Heh haven't had the time to look into it, just downloaded them for now, keep you updated;)
Exactly my thoughts
Okies !!
Made this render for the Raining Men Contest!!
Here is WIP I am working on trying to get the lighting right for a night time lighthouse scene.
Am loving the Garibaldi hair experiments by Saphire and Sven. Almost looks like FK Design Parish hair at that other store. Creating hair is a wonderful way to make characters unique. Please keep the updates coming! I've been experimenting with using a free plugin to convert Carrara dynamic hair to obj, and then to Studio, but always looking for more options.
Cute render for the contest!
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the lighthouse.
Thanks Diomede_Carrara for the ice comment and will be posting more hair renders real soon.
Thanks @IceDragonArt for the nice comment and I am going to be working on the lighthouse tomorrow and will post it when finished!!
Thanks so much @Dracorn for the great advice I am going to put this inot action tomorrow and will post my 2nd version!!
Testing out the new Hiro 5 starter bundle I got this week from Daz Freebies
Playing around again with lighting plz give advice I think I need it!!!
Aah so that's a shadow on the backdrop, you need to apply UberSurface to it and disable "accept shadows" if you want to get rid of it, or move the backdrop away, or change light angle! Or, if you want to keep the DS default shader, insert the diffuse color also into the ambient color, ambient strength to 100% and diffuse strength to 0%, spec. strength to 0% so the backdop is not affected by the scene lighting. Could work;)
You could also try to reduce diffuse strength for the water to just 20-30%, and set refraction index to 1.3, refraction strength to 100%, and tint refraction color with blue/green. Would behave more like real water!
Only guessing, of course, maybe you used some othe shaders, but those look like the DS default.
It was outta the box kinda render with the fixation on the lighting mostly but I did notice the shadows on the back drop after I had already rendered out them both.
(Was distracted by the muchkins running around the house pretending to be superheros!!)
So I will take it back into daz and redo it with your settings and see how it turns out.
I will post as soon as it is done!
Saphirewild I posted a bit from the making of from the lighthouse over in my thread, though its in Iray
Thanks @Linwelly I am off to check it out now!!
