ok.. today I see there's a https://www.daz3d.com/easier-pose-creation-premium-bundle-for-genesis-9 ... which I WOULD have bought if I'd have known it was coming out... but I bought https://www.daz3d.com/easier-pose-creation-1-for-genesis-9 2 days ago.  Seems kinda weird to me that they bring the bundle out AFTER pose 1... I'm NOT gonna buy it again.  :(

  • For the discount, might be worth getting the bundle and returning the first product (unless it was a buy-in for another sale price or something I guess). I agree, it seems like the first one was made available too soon.

Not sure I can return Pose set 1... It was used to help get a few other things for the sale... It just gets in my craw... Daz SHOULD have know this would happen... I shouldn't have to fill out a ticket.  :(  What a bother :(...

I'm glad it's not just me. I bought the first one the same as you did, to help with a couple of other discounts. A greater discount for owning the first one and I'd have picked it up, but I don't want the hassle of having to return it, so I just didn't buy the bundle.

Although there are a couple of things I bought to use on G9 that turn out to only work on G9 female that I'm undecided aboout returning, so maybe I should just bundle the whole returns thing together, run up the white flag and call it a day.

EDIT: I think 'glad' is probably the wrong word. 'Relieved' maybe. I feel like an idiot buying it and then getting taken for a fool by the release schedule, but after all these years I don't know why I expected any better.

I'm glad you posted... It feels good to know I'm not the only one.  I too passed on the bundle.  I really hate returning stuff. (sighs)

About the Josie 9 bundle pricing error, many posts back.

Just heard from CS. Nope. They are not correcting the error to refund us the price differences due to their errors. They are handling it like it was a normal request for a price difference which does not get one any refunds. For those, they expect one to refund the order. Then repurchase. ??? The sale is long over.

    Ticket Number: Request #426278

If anybody can talk some sense to them with regard to this, good luck.

eta: I want to keep all what I bought, I just wanted a fair price. So since they wouldn't do that, I asked them to refund the order. I would rather they just corrected the price.

This appears to work correctly, but I think I need to go back and listen to "New Math" by Tom Lehrer. This purchase requires New Math to understand it. All 3 items were listed in the store at 40% off. But wait, they gave me a 10% for a first holiday punch discount. Somehow, the first two show up at 58% off, and the third at 72% off. I had a $5.00 store credit, so I paid 12.96 as shown. There's nothing on the front page about some sale where you get 50% off on two+ items. It doesn't look right that the first two show up with one discount, and the third is a different discount when they were all listed as 40% off.

    0.1* original + 0.4*original = 0.5*original (wrong answer)

    0.6*0.9*original = 0.54*original (wrong answer)

Before I added the third item, the first two showed 61% off, but then went to 58% after adding the third. But hey, confusion is par for the course!

  • Not willing to pay > 30$ for a small 7-items-bundle. Especially after the Josie-mess. Another 60$ base figures without HD although a Gen9 selling point - come on!

Not willing to shell out $300 for a 20% gift card either.

Being too greedy does not pay out. Would have probably even spent another $400 with a 25% GC sale. As it is I am spending just a few bucks to keep the punches. But once my small remaining store credit is gone I might even forget to do this. And whoops I'm out of the money loop.

I actually was in the middle of figuring out which bundles to get for $5 when I got the bad news from CS. Hard to shop through tears, not happening.

The inclusion of pointless HD morphs is a no-sale point for me, although right now I'm not really in the market for anything G9.

It doesn't make any sense to me, but none of the three are a good deal anyway. All are significantly above their recent best price.

I'm not buying anything today. I was going to buy the Pixie bundle, but I got disgusted that the text at the top of the sale page was not the whole story, and to get that extra 10%, you actually had to buy another item from a very small list. The 10% difference was less than $4, but I was just over it after that disappointment. So I decided I'd just dial up my own "pixie" from G9 morphs I already have. She's cute enough for me. I'm going to post her with the mushroom hat and locket over in the PA thank you thread when she is done rendering.

There's nothing I want to buy today. I'll lose my punch discount, but that's OK, I'll have the $40+ I didn't have to spend on the pixie bundle. So, I'm way ahead as I calculate it.

  • Will probably get something from the DAZ+ releases to keep my punch discount a little longer. But the recent releases are simply to costly: Pixie Bundle + OOT Hair would be $50. Todays pose converter pack is over $40 although I very much like the stuff from RiversoftArt. So no, no more G9 stuff for the moment.

Short by 2 days!!! I bought Zev0's Pose converter on 6 November and now I have a chance to get the Bone Minion converters (which I like better); but it is 2 days too late to return Zevo"s converter and I don't need 2 converters. Grrr! angry Maybe that will teach me not to be in a hurry to buy things.

  • A item listed in the store at 40% off, plus a 10% for a first holiday punch is 46% OFF (why not 50%?)

    Other item at 50% off plus a 10% = 55% (Why not 60%?)

Also, if I understand right this Holiday sale will not beat Black Friday correct ? I mean even with a 35% off discount, the max discount would be 74%??? Can you guys confirm me?

    Really I want 78% or 80%. That's a DEAL

I was wondering about this part of the sale. In the past, when an offer included a bundle it was 'buy or own'.

What part? I'm not seeing your image. If you deleted your attachment only you will be able to see it.

  • Oops, sorry, it's back. It's the last 'Today Only' offer - the other great poses.

% don't get added together. It is the initial 50% off then 10% of that 50% which is 5% so totaling 55%

My punch card goes back and forth from 10% to 35% off missing the 20%. If I skip a day it goes down to 10% off. When I buy something, it goes back to 35%. There is no in between 20% off.

The problem with the fluctuating %s comes from the $ 5.- store credit you used and the fact, that the % values are not the the "shown in shop" % but the REAL % values. Those $ 5.- are divided among all the different products you buy. So when there's only two items in the bag that results in a higher "reduction" of the price and a higher % off, than when it's divided by three products.

Totally basic DAZland maths. Takes only a couple years to understand wink

  • I was thinking that the behavior (% going down as more items were added) sounded like what happens when you use a coupon with a fixed dollar amount. It doesn't make sense to show store credit being applied as a discount, but that would explain what was happening...

You wouldn't want to believe the store glitches discovered ... took awhile but the order now stands as refunded.

Best thing to do here, getting the refund! - I still can't quite fathom the un-courteousness of the sales team's decision. They really didn't use to behave like that, no? I remember feeling so comfortable shopping here like, maybe two years ago, knowing that whatever glitch occurred, the store would sort it all out benevolently and amiably. I miss THAT store, it felt like shopping at some friends' place. Yeah well, not so much anymore ...

  • You're right, it's a very different store. Would be nice if they went back to the old ways but that's likely a pipe dream.

    Sent you a PM.

  • Reposting this here from Discord:

Is there a way to determine how much of a percentage from the punch card gets applied to eligible items before putting it in the cart? I've got 35% off, but I haven't seen it yet applied to it's entirety, which forces me to be constantly adding and removing from the cart to see how much is being applied. In the image below you can see items that are at 40%, but when added to the cart they cap at 61% when it should be 75% (40% + 35% from the punch card)

That's both tedious and disenheartening. What's the point of accumulating all that discount percentage if it won't be applied?
