If you feel like doing a GTA conversion, there is a Fishbowl on the GTA Classics site, a pretty decent one at that.

Oh, you mean this one. It's also at http://www.gtainside.com/en/sanandreas/cars/13506-1969-gm-tdh-5303-bus-v1-0/  It's got the graphics design used in Speed.

That be the one, great model, I like using it when I can.

Alain (National7 team) really out did himself in modeling that bus. With most of his models, there is usually just a little something that isn't exactly right but with this bus, it's perfect.

..and why it is worth the price.  I've seen lesser quality models on one other certain site priced higher.

The one at that "other certain site" is just a static model with no interior. National7's Scenicruiser has an interior, working doors, windows, steering, etc. If it were sold at that "other certain site" it sure wouldn't be priced at $30.00 but much, much higher.

    ...how true.

I've seen some pretty poor gemetry there sell for prices around or higher than what content in the store here or at Rendo goes for.

Does anyone know if someone has made a 3d-model of this one (the GM Buffalo)? I remember riding it both in the US (Greyhound) and Mexico (Transportes Chihuahuaenses, with a similar livery but with a rabbit instead of the dog painted on the sides...).

I like most of N7's cars, and have a good number of them, and am going to get that bus, yes, that "other" site does sell some really poor models for in some cases, much higher prices, for that matter, I've seen some pretty poor models for sale at Rendo, I have even gotten a couple, primarily poor simply because they don't work and play well with DAZ, however, Nationale7's models do well in DS, have to change the shaders, and not necessarily all the shaders, primarily paint and chrome, I do have one of his Mack trucks that didn't require anything but the brass parts be reshaded, so even for the price, even the bus is a good deal, especially since its really the only Scenicruiser available for that kind of money in that quality range.

..ah, the ol' "Deck & a Half" as drivers where I come from called it.  The Model 4107 - 4507 series, was one of GM's most elegant designs, which was much sleeker looking than the bland boxy looking MC-5s and MC-7s that the company  also operated.  The 4107/4307 just seemed to ride better and feel more comfortable than it's MCI counterparts. Used to travel on these a lot in the upper Midwest.

It's too bad GM got out of the bus building business. Their only real "clunker" was the bulbous looking RTS series as it had a curved windscreen that acted like a magnifying glass in the driver area on a hot day,. Also, the wheelchair lift was at the rear door necessitating the driver to get out of his/her seat to operate it, the traditional "pull cord" was replaced with a pressure strip (which if leaned against or accidentally touched  it would signal the drive to stop), and to save weight in some models, Plexiglass was used for the passenger windows which would become so scratched up after a year or two they were almost impossible to see out of.

Yes, that bus is nice, real nice, and works well in DAZ Studio without too much in changing the shaders, very well done!

Really nice bus (and bus station). Guess I'll have to add it to my wishlist.

This is what I've been doing lately. The car is the street version of TruForm Ferarra from R*ty, with some tweaking and modification by me, including all Ferrari logos and badges, of which only the one on the side of the car can be seen in this render.

    Look who's got a shiny brand new 4x4 Quad : )

Still thinking about what kind of environment I'll place her in.

    Cheers!

...do you have First Bastion's Rolling Plains? It also has a desert texture as well. I use it a lot.

Another would be Stonemason's City Ruins, Abandoned City or First Bastion's Ambush Alley sets if you are looking to go more post apocalyptic.

Good girls never leave home without their Mossberg : )

Spent the best part of the day converting that thing for DAZ Studio, but then it has all internal parts!

Not that anyone is ever going to notice, LOL

Now for a landscape, I was thinking something everyday ordinary urban, nicely out of place....

    Cheers!

It's a truly brilliant model, especially great for close-ups, but with more than 50 separate parts a mind-numbing chore to get into DAZ.

Only have to do it once though : )

Great texturing job Erik, I love the dirt in the tire treads, and the shotgun shell

    on the ground.

    Thanks!

@ Robert: a bit off topic I know, but here's a closer look at that Mossberg model, I wasn't exaggerating when I wrote it had all (internal) parts : )

After converting the CAD model I UV'd the mesh in 3dCoat, and painted the textures in Substance Painter.

Not completely flawless yet, but looking quite nice already I think!

    Cheers!
