I'm sorry, but this new forum is a joke, I have tried for 3 days to upload a picture.

1st time it said uploading for 1/2 hour and no picture, then the next day I get internal error message

and no picture. Now I finally get it to upload a file and you can't see it.

Bring back the old forum, that one worked.

    I've tried Ivy's instructions

< One Upload attachment by using the "attach file" link at the bottom of the text box.. and upload your file. and then hit post comment

<Next click your attached file to view the original size of your piciture and copy that url.

But it says page not found

Went back to edit original post it did not show as a broken link.

It's the attach file part that isn't working for you, for some reason.  If you get a broken icon below the attach file button, do not post the comment,  mouse over the icon, delete it and try again until you get a proper thumbnail, as shown in my 2nd image

3D Warehouse stuff often appears to be dreadful, and much of it is, but sometimes can be turned into something really really nice!

I used Rhino to modify this one, added parts like the wheels, tyres, and steering wheel from GRABCAD, and rendered it in Octane using Asian Streets 2 by Stonemason as environment.

    Cheers!

It had to be done. Every iteration of this character has had flaws that I simply couldn't fix no matter what freebie anime character morph sets I used. The face just always turned out a bit too "harsh" and angular, and the eyes never looked right compared to my hand drawn works of her.  That is until I got Willow for Genesis 2 Female (G2F). Since I was already using the shirt from that set, and sometimes the shorts, I figured I might as well convert the character morph to Genesis 1 using Genesis Generation X2, and use it as the base for Tommie as well. She uses the Willow shape at 75% (100% made her head too big) along with the G2F shape at 100% (also converted) combined with various head and body morphs from the Genesis Evolution Morphs sets, as well as the Die Trying's 182 V4 Morphs for Genesis, Ramwolf's Genesis Morphs, Jabba's Pin-up Girl morphs, and AMR Proportion morphs, to finally give her that "cute as a button" face, and big, round, bright blue, "Anime" eyes I've been trying for since I first started using DAZ Studio.

And this is the resulting new version of Tommie which I will be using in any new pictures going forth.

Another thing I decided to do, in order to make full use of the Willow outfit is to begin adding some much needed functionality morphs to it. So far, and most importantly, I've made some custom open and pull down morphs for the shorts. Further planned morphs will include pocket bulge morphs for the front and back pockets.

So, here she is, taking a break at her family's Auto repair shop, surrounded by trucks, of course.

Looks can definitely be deceiving. At first glance, one wouldn't assume that this tiny, 5' tall, bubbly, cheerful, outgoing, innocent and naive, "cute as a button", Southern Belle, with big, bright blue eyes and long blonde hair was also an in incurable Tomboy and a master mechanic. The second of three children, Thomasina "Tommie" Jean Davis (Never call her "Thomasina"; she hates it) was named (for the most part) after her grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Davis (her parents were hoping for a boy). Her parents were killed in a car accident when she was seven yeas old, leaving her and her younger brother to be raised by her Grandpa Tom (a widower) in the small town of Allgood , AL, while her older sister joined the US Army. Growing up, Tommie would spend most of her free time helping out in her grandfather's auto repair shop, where it soon became apparent that she had a "gift" for the trade. By the age of 17, she was already a master auto mechanic, and even managed to build a huge F-150 king cab Monster truck (that she affectionately calls Tommie's Li'l Tonka) from the ground up. The rest of the time, aside from school, she'd enjoy going hunting and fishing (and skinny-dipping), in the local woods and streams without a care in the world. This small town conservative southern upbringing without any real female influence, resulted in an incurable tomboy who, even at 17, had never yet had "The Talk" about "the birds and the bees", and whose idea of going out with a guy is "goin' fishin'". That would all change when she meets two people who would have the greatest impact on her life; the day she learned of her sister's death in the war. The first was her sisters friend, Maria Angelina Mirandez who, like a surrogate "Big sister", would take Tommie under her wing. The second, was Kuraiyama Kenichi Kageto, an introverted Japanese young man seemingly broken by numerous tragedies in his life, whom Tommie takes upon herself to break out of his shell.

    Personality and Motivations:
An incurable Tomboy, Tommie Jean Davis is bubbly, cheerful, friendly, outgoing, innocent, and incredibly naive about the larger world outside of her small town, as well as about boys and the relationships between the sexes. She loves everybody and doesn't have a hateful bone in her body. She's also impulsive, mischievous, and a bit stubborn. This, combined with her naivete and thick Southern drawl, which makes her stick out like a sore thumb in any big city, means she can easily get herself in over her head.  On the other hand, that same innocence along with her natural beauty and "Southern charm" has gotten her out of trouble more than once. Tommie is also very loyal to her friends and family and is never without at least one tool (usually a wrench)in her possession. Woe be to any who touches her beloved tools.

The car model is a replica of a 2009 Toyota Tacoma crew cab pickup that I picked up at R*ty along with a handful other cars, since they were on sale. You don't see much of the car in this render, but I don't think most of you will mind looking at the girl instead. The 3dmodel is very nice for the price, $6.60, with lots of details, including opening doors, windows and a lot more, so I intend to make more renders with it, of both the outside and the inside. The size/scale of the model is also correct right out of the box, with a height of abt 5'10" (while the girl is a scale 5'3" tall).

Edit: I first tried to upload the image as a png-file, which is what I save all renders as, but the system wouldn't let me do it, so you'll have to be content with the lower quality of the attached highly compressed jpg-file.

TruForm "Ferarra" from R*ty. All Ferrari badges have been added by me since the model doesn't come with any, presumably for copyright reasons. The raised/3-dimensional horse and Ferrari badges at the rear (and front, though the horse there isn't visible in this render) were made using textures and bumpmaps, not 3d-meshes. Everything else that has been done to the model, including the modified taillights, was also done using the tools that come with DAZ Studio 4.8 (primarily the geometry editor and a few primitives), plus a cheap external image editor (Paint Shop Pro) for the textures. Which I see as far more sporting/challenging than exporting to a full-fledged external 3d-editor, modifying the mesh there and then importing it back into DS...

1954 SCENICRUISER just released by National7 at Rosity. This bus is awesome and I can find nothing wrong with it.

I agree, I have it in my wishlist already, along with the 40's Bus Station that you can get at DAZ, it will be a very nice addition, its just affording that $30 price tag!

I have the Bus Station also and both models are nice. After he posted some images of the bus with a photo of the bus station, I was able to talk him into doing the bus station because he hadn't planned on doing it.

I noticed N7's bus station also when he posted that one, but I've already got the one from DAZ, which is also very nice, and renders well in DS, so I didn't give the one from Nationale7 much thought, but come payday, I will probably be giving a lot of thought on buying that bus!

I'm going to try to wait it out til he has another sale, that ought to knock off about $5 from the full price.

...I've been wanting one of these so bad.  On the wishlist until I can scare up some cash.

Now all I need is a GM TDH 5000 and a 'New Look "Fishbowl".

If you feel like doing a GTA conversion, there is a Fishbowl on the GTA Classics site, a pretty decent one at that.

... saw that one.  Wouldn't have the foggiest notion how.  I leave that to the experts who have modelling and UV mapping skill to fix things that don't translate well.

Maybe Nationale7 will come out with one seeing as he did the Scenicruiser (and a wonderful job of detailing it). The Fishbowl was after all, somewhat ubiquitous in the States and was popularised in the film Speed.

Oh, you mean this one. It's also at http://www.gtainside.com/en/sanandreas/cars/13506-1969-gm-tdh-5303-bus-v1-0/  It's got the graphics design used in Speed.
