Horo : An interesting illustrative style, sorta relief like look.

mermaid: Nice playing and coloring. I like the contrast between the sharp edges and the soft background.

mermaid: Nice playing and perspective. --- Your joyful variants inspired me to change the color scheme in my newest versions. Here is a sorta "autumnal" result and its BR4 workfile (tested successfully in Bryce7).

@ All: If you want to play with the colors: Simply select the affected objects by "Family" color codes as follows. (See my Bryce7 screenshot):

Red gradient (cube)     = family 2
Yellow gradient (cube)  = family 20
Green gradient (cube)  = family 19

        Edges blue/gray    = family 6
        Edges striped       = family 15

hubert - your new abstract looks great. Thanks for the file, too.

The terrain is from the Crater Construction Kit with a material from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies, the violet nebula from the Space Construction Kit, sky and ambient light by the DS-Sky04 HDRI from Deep Space HDRI 2 and the rocket from unpublished  HDRI for Sci-Fi Fantasy 1, the key light by the sun. Below the anaglyph.

hubert : awesome new abstract, thanks for the workfile.

Horo : beautiful scene and anaglyph.

Hansmar : cool terrain, attractive abstract.

mermaid, Horo, Hansmar: You're welcome! :)

Horo: Another impressive (SciFi) landscape. That retro rocket fits perfectly.

    Hansmar:
    - LOL, what a great idea to create a landscape from an elephant's skin texture. The biplane adds a good scale effect.
    - Your hoistway causes vertigo. Cool depth effect and lighting!

    Hi all;

First, thanks so much for the comments on my Halloween image. It is appreciated!

Second, here are two images based on Bryce scenes from David Brinnen/Horo’s “Islands 2” package from DAZ3D. As I've mentioned I have a degenerative eye disease which makes this stuff rather challenging (especially the TE). I am very appreciative of their efforts because it makes things easier and a whole lot more fun!

The first one is titled "Better Not Hold Dinner For Me!”. The rock arch is from the Sunset Island scene.  All the other content is from DAZ3D except for the Virtual House by 1971s. Sky HDI by Horo.

Primury illumination from the sun. Fill light provided by 3 large inward facing dome lighs and Use Sky IBL. Rendered using 32 RPP Premium Effects with True Ambience enabled. About 3 1/2 hours to render.

My second image is based on the Volcanic Island scene. Titled “Threading the Chimneys". An interesting use of branchless trees to create stone chimneys. Foreground structure is a tree and the two structures in back are the same tree expored then "Bulged" in Modo. The smugglers yard and the sky crane are by1971s. Illuminated by the sun and Use Sky IBL. Rendered with Normal AA in about 40 minutes. Thanks in advance for taking a look!

Dan - the images on your first post above are not there, except a white frame above the text.
The one with the chimneys is fantastic. Who thought those could be Bryce trees? I know they are versatile but such use I haven't seen yet. Awesome scene.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

Dan : two fantastic scenes, great use of the trees on the one with the chimneys.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,634

Dan - ah now I see the first one, too. It looks really great.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 5,483

Dan - two great renders, nice use of trees, the lighting is excellent.

  • huberthubert Posts: 414

Dan: Two great scenes and well fitting rock mats. -- And a very creative use of Bryce trees. I would have assumed that those pillars were just normal lattices. :)
