    added a couple of sets, need to learn more about camera in d/s and procedural shader in 3de; anyway carrara and d/s work effectively together.

    50 seconds per frame for this low resolution

    I think that looks quite good and renders reasonably fast. All diffuse txtures in direct light look slightly overblown, not necessarily a bad thing, it adds something to the general look. However you loose a lot of detail if that's what you are after. 

    What GI are you using here?

    that's correct, I added glare in post to enhance overall radiosity but some shaders need to be adjusted and low resolution does the rest. Attached a shot with and without post correction at a good resolution for animations, I would decrease the sky light a little bit but the outcome is pretty realistic to me

    about GI, actually I've been using AO with soft shadows in 2 flavours slightly different: one for overall ambience and the second to "fake" bounce lighting and radiosity; this allows to get realism in less render time than IL

    Tks for sharing! Yeah the post- processed one looks more like Aces or Unreal tonemapping, I like it, well done:)

    Most of my work until this year has been done in 3delight. Then I made switch to Iray and have not returned to it, until recently. Did a couple of render's in 3delight and attached the lastest one done because, while amazing I have done a bit too much of renders in Iray. Guess you could say a return to the roots of sorts.

    That is one of an unique spin on Christmas themed render and I am all for it. Also, I suspect that song from 2000's will follow up soon enough. The toad totally looks like he is having a blast. :) Merry Christmas.
