Thanks everyone for the nice comments
Adbc - very nice effect, I like it.
adbc - like a room 3d-ish. Looks great.
mermaid, Horo : thank you.
adbc - wow, what an amazing effect from the basic scene! I love that.
adbc, great effect, does not look like spheres at all!
My new version is not as spectacular.
Hansmar - not specular? Looking really great even without specularity
Oops! Not 'spectacular' I meant, as you guessed
adbc, that could be an abstract painting, awesome.
Very nice Hansmar, I love the effect
MelanieL, Hansmar, NGartplay : thank you.
Hansmar : what a nice effect, great material.
Hansmar - very pretty, and almost like a watercolour painting.
Horo, mermaid010, adbc, MelanieL: Thank you. I wanted to create something not so clearly sphere in sphere. The result will follow, because I suddenly noted the render was not completely finalised!
Hansmar, I love it. It's like an ice cream cone or at least it makes me want one :)
Another two, with the same setup; I hid the smaller sphere; 1st is a square rendered perspective view and the 2nd 2:1 rendered panoramic view, with abstracts the more you play the more amazing the results.
mermaid - the more you play the more cool results you get, it has no end ...
Mermaid, I second what Horo said. I could get nothing from the file but you and the others just keep making beautiful renders.
mermaid - another pretty pair. The variations seem to be endless!
NGartplay - I almost didn't recognise you there - you've had a makeover!
NGartplay, love your new look. Thanks, also.
Mermaid010, really lovely results!
Here is my new one. I put the camera slightly lower than the center of the small sphere, but pointed it at the small sphere. The texture of the big sphere is a modified variant of the 'dented plate' metal and the small sphere has a modified textre of the 'ball bearings' texture. I used 'Object side' as type of texture, creating the weird effect.
Hansmar - very interesting result. The blurred object in the foreground is a great element.
mermaid : cool renders, lovely colours.
Hansmar : special result, a bit weird. I like the blurred object.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments
Hansmar - another interesting effect, I also like the blurred object.
NGartplay - really cute avatar. Waiting to see your siggy banner
Hansmar - fascinating effect! (I like the blurred object too)
Hansmar, very interesting results.
Hey guys, aren't I cute? :) :) :) It's just a placeholder until I get some Bryce render shots that might make a good avatar. This is an old avatar that I used years ago when I made the Big Bow Hair for Cookie.
I did have a banner but it disappeared because the URL that I had it in I asked Chohole to delete. I don't have a website to link a banner to.
Thank you Chohole!! I put a link in that thread that you posted.
NGartplay - yes, a cute avatar, I reckon this was you a few years ago
Lol, unfortunately I don't look anything near what Cookie looks like. I spent a year making happy/fluffy/cutsy items so everything was pink and pastels. I'm really an ogre/troll/hob goblin type of artist even though I liked making things for Star! and Cookie.
Yes it's cute, keep it .. no problem it's a poser one
I also think it's very cute.
Hansmar: Your image from 22nd Feb. has a wonderful illustrative appearance.
Today, I found some spare time and played a little bit with your workfile and a bitmap texture made of just some fat lines. (Though arranged along a logarithmic scale because I am Engineer and not an Artist.) -- I used that bitmap as sorta signature below the rendered image.
After playing some more, also with coloring (of lights and mats)...... I decided that monochrome looked really best here. Sometimes, less is more. ;)
Now, here is my result:
Cheers to Shiny Spheres!
Hubert
hubert - I agree, this looks fantastic in monochrome.
Hubert - wow, this looks fantastic in monochrome, I love the effects
