Very nice render thread you´ve got there!
Thank you so much!!
001PG4P3
(There are a few things that need to be fixed, ie main character is floating, Freak's feet are melded to the floor and his one hand is phasing through the laptop - not completely happy with the turn out of the lighting either.)
non-GODS & MONSTERS related render. Was a bit bored and wanted to make a "survivor" ala Tom Clancy's The Division. Video games look so awesome these days, to bad I don't play.
You've got some great looking art on these pages.
Thank you kindly! Highly appreciated!
Allot of really good works in this entire thread, bravo. My first stabs at Daz Studio was not any where near that good.
It appears you are having fun with tools I have yet to purchase, or completely unaware of it being included in Studio (volumetric and haze lighting, fire effects, etc).
B.T.W. as someone that use to play wizards and such in RPG (paper and dice), I did ketch that make the bullets move with mere thought bit (No offense intended Novica). Casting poses are a bit tricky to comprehend at times, as what's happening completely defies how we perceive physics. Think of when Neo was doing similar things with walls of bullets in the Matrix (Pic not by me, for example only). I think you nailed that one.
I'm really enjoying being able to see the evolution of your art in this thread. Some wonderful renders. Your background shows through. :)
Thank you!
The haze and lighting effects are just playing with shaders and cameras inside of DS. This tutorial helped a bit at first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umL5Fu--W8c
Fire and other effects I usually accomplish in After Effects.
Posing is a real challenge though. I do my best but sometimes the result isn't so good.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and check out my work.
As always, thank you Cris! I owe you and szark a lot. The help you guys gave in terms of render and shading settings and posing really helped me a lot.
The next render I post (currently at 13 hours and 41 min and only 2/3 complete) has a few issues (posing). However, due to the lengthy render time, I'm just gonna post it rather than fixing it. I have two more images I want to do with this character before returning to my comic book work and I can't afford the time to fix and re-render.
16 hours to render this beast AND I hate it lol.
His pose is wack. The texture on the backpack is f'ed. Her shoulder pads got messed with the pose, not how I wanted them and I decided to wait until render was done to make any kind of decision (bad move).Their latex gloves aren't responding to the lighting the way I'd like them to either.
I also forgot to add frays to the "poke throughs" - I guess I'm just over this one.
I have a render cooking now, however, it won't be posted here as it's a "nude pin up". Once 3Delight is finished with it, I'm gonna give Reality 4 a serious go at it.
They can be found over on my gallery at Renderosity - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?username=shawnbooth
There are a few renders there that are not here but otherwise, it's the same same.
Reality is often times confusing and a pain...
I'm on the forum reading about it as I render though.
Doing two versions - 1. with just lights and 2. with IBL
I'm working on some postwork skills with this render.
First one is my reference render. Then each of the separate renders I'm using to make the final image.
(All were rendered in 3Delight.)
*Postwork will be completed in Photoshop and After Effects.
Individual renders/layers -
Combined and messed with in Photoshop -
(skipping After Effects, I'm hungry)
The above image was inspired from a webseries, APOC, I started. Sadly, I ran out of funds after episode one. We shoot on iPhones and had a blast though.

Thinking about doing something with this in DS though.
Didn't turn out quite like the image in my head... Gonna have to keep tweaking on it until it does.

Inspired by "The Walking Dead" advertisement....
Very nice job! I like both composition and colors!
Hey, Shawn,
Your compositing is really great! Good job.

Thank you sir - I'm actually revisiting it today to correct a few "errors" and improve the overall image.
Updated version -
I like this one more.
Another "The Walking Dead" inspired render...
I have been away for a while -
