Missing Morphs

Hi.

I just cant figure out this. Body Morphs and Head Morphs are isntalled, but not running.

    What are the 21 ready to download and install?
    (agreed tho, I think you are supposed to have more then that there, Tho I did buy a tone of stuff (including add on morph packs), so I'm not sure.

    Ok, I'm just a little bit lost here. I'm not a Daz heavy user. The Morphs are installed or not?
    The 64 bits version is not running anymore, I'm using the 32 bit version, there's something to do with that?

    not sure, tho the updates do tend to have fixes for all kinds of stuff.

    Where? In Daz or Instal Manager?

    Sorry, but I'm kind of a tech dumb. I use the computer just to draw, so everything beyond that seems quite esoteric to me.

    From the looks of it, some morphs did get in there, just not as many as after installing "Michael 5" (like I did). on the left is other categories, with more morphs in some of them. I remember some being empty before "Michael 5".

    You have "Michael 4" and "Victoria 4" in that list, they don't use "Genesis", they predate Genesis. Name 5, is for Genesis. And Name 6 is for Genesis 2.


    "Michael 4" and "Victoria 4" will have there own morphs, that are completely separate from Genesis.

    the basic morph packs are rather limited, tho there are more options.
    SickleYield has allot of cool stuff at sharcg, and here in the daz store. There are others as well.

    I'm quite desperate right now.

    I used these morphs in basic genesis figures, like this. The figure is loaded nicely, but I can't adjuste the nose's bulge anymore, the dials are missing.

    I just found out I'm missing morphs as well and I figure it's just because I reinstalled all my items onto a different hard drive in different folders.
    When my current render is completed (took about 18-20 hours last time) I'm going to uninstall all my daz items and reinstall them into a single folder and see if my morphs don't come back.

    (Edit; That would do it. putting the morph files somewhere other then where there programed to be. I just left that default, and didn't mess with the "My Daz 3D library" paths, except for installing free stuff)


    that may be a Genesis 2 morph. I get them confused sometimes.

    I got Victoria 6, with the "Genesis 2 Female(s) Morphs Bundle" for another character. Thin I'm asking where did that go.

    The "Essentials" are very basic. If your sure you want to work with Genesis, then I would suggest purchasing more stuff. I don't know what your intentions are, so I'll just list the options.

    can't work with the new basic genesis figure? I'm not talking about basic male and female, just the basic gray androgynous one.
    If it is, there's some way I can use these morphs as I used to?

    Install paths from what little I know.
    "My Daz 3D Library" is the path Daz Install Manager puts stuff you buy from Daz3D. I don't mess with this at all outside of Daz Studio, I just use the stuff in Daz Studio.

    "My Library" is where all your saved stuff goes. It's also where non Daz3D stuff can be installed, like free stuff. It goes in My Documents by default. I didn't mess with this in Daz install manager, I told Windows to put "My Documents" on a separate heard drive when installing windows on this computer. When I installed Daz stuff after that the "My Library" got put there by default.

    So as far as Daz3D stuff is concerned, it's all in default folders, even tho windows is set up differently.

    Ok

    I just have cleared My Documents folder today. And I deleted almost every Daz stuff. I though it was just downloaded files. Remember when I said I'm a tech dumb? I just screwed everyting up.


    So


    What I have to do?
    Uninstall everything and download and Install again?

    probably, except Daz Install Manager, and Daz Studio. Possibly. Is it in the "Recycle Bin"?

    I'm sure the Morphs get installed in the other folder by Daz Install Manager, unless your referring to a free set you installed.

    That is what I would do. See if the Daz install manager will go through the uninstall process for each of your items, then redownload and install.
    If the DIM still thinks they are installed, it won't install them again so they need to get cleared from the "Installed Items" list.

    Also, in the "ready to install" tab is a checkbox at the bottom to delete files after install. This will delete the downloaded "pre-installed" packages as they install. Or you can leave them on your pc (this keeps the DIM from having to redownload your items)

    Ok guys, what do you recommend? Restore Daz files from the recycle bin, or uninstall and download and install again? If I restore the files from the recycle bin I'll restore all the other non-related Daz files?

    I guess that depends on your end goal. If your end goal is to clean up, then restoring things will just mean you have to start all over with your mess and either uninstall everything anyway, or pick through it all and find the non-daz stuff.

    Since you are this far, I would just click uninstall on all your items in the installer (except maybe daz studio) then start reinstalling it all again.

    I'm tempted to say, yes to both. restore from the recycle bin, then uninstall then install daz.

    simply because I don't know what else on that computer uses the "My documents" folders.

    I can understand the purge confusion. The three highlighted folders need to be there (for Daz3D).

    There are 2.145 itens. If I clik restore, I'll restore everything from, let's say, 10 monts ago? Wouldn't be some glitches with files with the same name?

    My brain is melting.

    Hey, I didn't mess with these Daz folders. The files I deleted were in Documents Library, but outside, they weren't inside any folder.

    then the question is where is things looking for stuff. I need to dredge up some screen-caps. For example, your username on that computer will be different from mine "Zar".

    Given Genesis installed and some morphs are there, it must be correct as is on your computer.

    I need to find a list of exactly what morphs come with the "Essentials" pack. Without "Michael 5 pro".


    I'm running the 64bit Studio, so the path in my screen-cap will be different from yours. This path needs to point to the folder Daz Studio (the program) is in.

    No, I didn't come with the Essentials pack. I bought this http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-evolution-morph-bundle

    I just saw something. It looks that lots of things are installed in other place, because these folder have almost nothing I have.

    The G folder I'm guessing is genesis, and nothing else. Where did Daz Install Manager put that stuff?
