Interesting ideas, both S Ray and adbc, and very nicely done. Great entries.

    spuddy - thank you.

S Ray - your "Eye in the Sky" is a very clever idea - and the almost-monachrome (except the eye) works well.

adbc - yep, that does look like one "Angry Tree"!  Nice sky, I never seem to manage to get stars to look so bright.

S Ray - interesting idea, well done scene. I also like the almost-monachrome effect.

Adbc - Wow that's one angry tree, lovely render

MelanieL: Great Beatles reference and render.

SRay: Gunslinger: Very fine rendering. Gloomy atmosphere. Gunslinger is also a song (Steve Miller Band, I think); Eye in the sky: again a song (Alan Parsons Project, maybe?), but most of all very original and well done.

Rieke77: Your miniature land is both fantasy and surreal: fantastic render.

adbc: Fantastic sky. I understand the angriness of te tree. You cannot live like that!

I have an entry rendering. Must have done something stupid, like transparency in leaves, multiple light sources, true ambience, etc., because it takes days. Doesn't help that I use the same laptop for work (including some probabilistic calculations) and listening to music at the same time, I fear! But, at night it should work only for Bryce, but still too slow to my liking. Next time think before I act (I hope).

    ed3D, Hansmar : thank you.

Hansmar : I also hope your render gets finished in time.

Rieke77, MelanieL, adbc: I fear I will not make it today. Still some 20% to go. I should have started earlier and not make it so slow! At this rate, maybe finished on Sunday.

Just made it under the wire!

My second entry: “Kiss a frog? I don't think so.”

Genesis 2 female, outfit, hair as well as the frog and castle walls from DAZ3D.

Grasses also from DAZ3D modified in Modo and instance in Brtce.

Willow trees created in Abaro and  also tweaked in Modo.

Illuminated by the sun and Use Sky IBL.

Rendered at Normal AA - a little over one hour to render.

Good luck to all and thanks for taking a look!

wow, Dan and Mermaid... wonderful entries.

And, Chohole: Nice that you`ll wait for Hansmar....

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,240

Dan - beautiful scene, the lady seems to be less interested in the frog than the frog in here.

mermaid - the Enchanting Castle looks great with this type of atmosphere.

Chohole: Thanks for waiting. Everybody, thanks for your sympathy. Unfortunately, my original is still too far from finished. If you could wait untill tomorrow this time, I may stop the render and use what is finished, though it is not the full render. However, I did quickly make another one, the did not take too much time (much more simple, no vegetation, etc.)

So, this will be my first entry and possible my only one: Blowing bubbles.

Dan Whiteside: love the concept and the uninterested look of the lady.

Mermaid010: Enchanting castle looks like something from a dark fantasy book by Stephen Donaldson or Steven Erikson.

Chohole: No problem if you cannot wait any longer. Then I'll just do with the one entry here.
