    If you already have a set of Ken's birds, and he did an update say in 2018, 2019 or 2020, is there a way to get those updates? I recall many years ago there was. He had changed the rigging or something.

    And this just got eaten by a Server 500 error, so once more to see if it allows it to go through...

    When he first updated after moving to Hivewire, people could get the updates by sending proof of purchase of the Daz version of Songbird Remix -- a copy of the order, I think. The Songbirds in question would then be added to your Hivewire account -- if you didn't have one, you were outta luck -- and then you'd get updates whenever the products were normally updated, since that would take care of everyone's downloads at once.

    I wonder how he plans to handle the issue now that Hivewire is closing? With the store closed, there won't be any access to the orders or download records. If you purchased at Hivewire, I can't quite see Rendo allowing that sort of deal.

    Sorry; the server had a 500 error on its own, then Cloudflare reported an error and didn't seem to post the comment. With the way that the server is now handling posts, I couldn't see that it actually had posted the comment, so it wound up with a double post. Apart from the broken style sheet and icons, the forum had seemed to get through the recent unpleasantness relatively untouched. Alas, appears those days are behind us.

    Yes, you can (or at least could) send his a message through the Hivewire forum (there's info about this on there somewhere - probably in his updates thread) and send him proof of purchase - I assume you originally bought them in the Daz store? I think I sent a screenshot of my account Product Library filtere to show just his stuff. Then they add those products to your HW account and you can download them from there to get the updated versions.

    Only thing is, I don't know how quickly they will be able to do it at the moment, I'm guessing they are busy closing down/transferring. It only took a day or two when I did it in the Summer.

    It'd be nice if they set something similar up at Renderosity. I'd hate to go through all that trouble just to do it again. I have several of his products I bought when he was at Daz.

    Did you happen to put in a ticket about that because that's not something the end user should have to do. The tech people need to know about that. On another note, I was planning on using those trees in a render this weekend so thanks for the tip! I'll have to use your suggestions for the fix so I can use the trees. Most of the time I love Martin J Frost's stuff. He does great work. Not sure what happened with this one.

    Maybe also do the @  symbol to the vendor in the posts, as quite a few of the vendors monitor the forums and they may see it faster than just a ticket (which you should also do.)

    Talk about a warped sense of logic to justify spending.... I saved 70.00 on a gift card yesterday so today I figured the first 70.00 of stuff was free. Was 99.64 so I figured the order was 29.64. 

    But heavens, stop making the sales so complicated. I had to read the description three times then check the cart so see if it was doing what it was supposed to. If you do things right, their stores (the two vendors) should be around 72%. 

    As I noted in the store issue thread, when I had the holiday free item in the cart, the PC+ code did NOT deduct anything. I tested the cart with and without the free item.  IIRC free items couldn't be in the cart with a PC+ code used. So it seems they did fix that with the new store. But now they've screwed up the forums- try editing a post and you'll see the html instead of WYSIWYG. Seriously Daz, leave the forums alone!

    And as a reminder, we did mention only that center wall is separate. The room is large and allows for camera views to be easily established, however I had to undo the parameters for the bathroom door to swing really wide open to get the desk shot from the bathroom side.

    That portrait is extremely sharpened, she has a softer, muted look in the eyebrows and neck skin pores.

    I can't go back and put the images in the post as I am only getting the html. Also, if you delete an attached image THEY ALL DELETE.

    @songbirdremix   Thanks Ken. I have so much of your stuff :)   I'll wait awhile so you can get settled in,  I know you've got a lot going on. I'll sort through all of it and give you an organized list of what I have and need updates for, and that will take some time anyway LOL.  And congrats on your new home, we love having you around!

    BTW my DIM went down- again. Got that stupid popup about the server having too many connections, then POOF! The Ready to Download disappeared. SO sick of this store turnover. It's like the epitome of what NOT to do.

    I bet Daz is just as disgusted as we are. I'm pretty sure they didn't anticipate this mess and the ever worsening state of the store, the forums, DIM, no Gallery for over a month, etc.
    I "buy" the daily free XMAS gift, then I leave the store.  I drop by the forum once or twice a day. Think of all the pent up demand I'll eventually have when things are fixed. Meanwhile, I pick up a few things at Hivewire and Renderosity. I'm spending my time in Marvelous Designer 10.

    I've taken advantage of the loyalty discount with the gift cards to then apply that store credit to sales getting 72% off, etc. But it would help if I could GET the products....

    And yeah, this sucks for Daz to have this during Christmas.

    I'm sure there are low prices I am missing, but I have plenty of stuff already to keep me busy. I do look at the new release thumbnails, but most don't tempt me right now.  At the first of the month, I bought enough to use my PC+ coupons, then I quit.  Maybe something unique will come along soon to tempt me into submitting to the store/DIM hassle.

    Store's been fine for me except the search function isn't working logically in some instances. The forum is OK except for editing posts and sometimes posting a post is weird.

    Today, in case you haven't thought of it, you can use the get 10 for 3.99 repeatedly with one of the new or still new releases. :)  Just do separate carts. Those horror items go 80 to 84% off on average so getting a new release at 50% (or more) then 10 items at 80% or more off is a good deal IMO. Also, there's a western bundle in there! For 3.99????

    I just pounced on the lingerie set (https://www.daz3d.com/mystique-2-for-genesis-8-females) and its addons in the selection - pretty set and worth the price, but not for me for something I might use once or twice.

    I am not sure what made me flip over to HiveWire on Saturday, but... well I think I bought every bird by Ken Gilliland that I didn't have, or at least what I could justify. I know I left some there. And then I made fresh downloads of all other purchases in Poser and Daz formats and saved them onto a stick and on my laptop. Reading his mauals on the birds is an education on its own. Daz usage reinforces how little I know of the natural world. Sigh.

    I had a contact from Emma at Customer Service yesterday, she is now back to her regular work. And the end result is I am now resetting my database on my laptop on my main release of DS. Not sure if it will affect the Beta's database or not. I had already made backups of its user's data. Then when I started the 'reset database' process I found that it also gave you the option to create backups at that time too. This is my first time to do this, so I have no idea of what I am going to find when the import is done. SereneNight had one input on an older thread that I am relying on.

    But my first copies of my user data is saved also onto my backup sticks.

    All I can say to everyone who has ever answered a question, a cry for help, or whatever on the forums, thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Well I can't edit my post but I wanted to add that @Barbult had a post in 2018 about what to do when all your thumbnails came back as grey! Reimport metadata. In progress. I am doing the PA products first, then my userdata, by one file and the second after it is done. Going on 30 minutes now.

    There's some pretty sweet deals today. It's just too bad that it's all items that I'm kinda-sorta interested in, but nothing I really want. And I've promised myself not to buy things just because it's a good deal, I have to really want them. So... I... am... resisting... *sweats*

    Mine was blank a few days ago, but it recovered by magic on its own in about 12 hours. Since then, it has been OK, but I've only been buying the daily freebie since then, so there is only one or two things available to be shown in that tab for me.

    Has anyone here bought that new Dreamlight item https://www.daz3d.com/uncharted-cave - I'd like to know if the BACK of the cave is open or closed, or if there's a large enclosed space at the back end (opposite the mouth opening).   I shouldn't have to ask but the vendor put several pictures OF MOSTLY THE SAME VIEW and showing only the front entry area, no pictures at all showing the other end, ie, the view from the opening LOOKING INTO THE CAVE.    Does it really never enter their minds that buyers would like to see the entirety of a set??!!

    So I got brave and bought a few things. They show up in DIM Ready to Download, but one continually fails download and I get that network connection error later. The file won't download from the product library either. nono
