Any advice for any DAZ Originals to pick up in the huge $1.99 sale? I've gotten the the male & female Centaur for Genesis 8, male & female Creature Creator HD for Genesis 2, Reptilian 6 HD, Minotaur 6 HD, These are components of the Genesis Supersuit Bundle: (Genesis Supersuit, Genesis Creature Creator, Build your Castle Bundle).
@nonesuch00, double-check your cart and the selections. From what I just read in the sales error thread is there was a major glitch this morning in the $1.99 sale and a lot of those newer items have been removed. I am only seeing a few G2F, Genesis, V5, and a slew of V4/M4 items now. All really old stuff that has been picked over. Hairs, characters or morphs.
OK, hmmm. Well I guess they'll be glad to know I was only interested in Genesis 2 or earlier and didn't buy much. At first I thought it was a glitch but then the specific items for $1.99 weren't fitting any particular pattern or genre so I thought it was legit. Especially when it was still active at 4:30 AM EST.
Oops, I did buy the Genesis 8 Centaurs, male & female, so I'd have Greek mythology counterparts to the Minotaur 6 for Genesis 2 I bought. I guess that Minotaur 6 was a mistake too although I've seen it definately less than $10 before I think.
I enjoy experimenting with Briar, Bramble and Bean. The character in the centre here is either Keane or Dean because he has FW Denton's texture and is a cross between Kincaid and Bean's Morphs

@Fishtales, I've got this as well (https://www.daz3d.com/hdr-prosets-yosemite-pack-one) but when I click on either TIF files in the textures of Dimension theory in the runtime (the ENV or HDR tif files) neither will illuminate the scene? Any thoguhts? (I asked FirstBastion as well in another thread, as they seemed to get it working with v2...but then I found you got it workijng with V1)
First Double Click on the Prop to load it into studio.
Open the Environment Tab and click on the Enviromemt Map and look for the YosemiteHDR.tiff image from the drop down and load it.
Open the Scene Tab and delete the Yosemite item.
You should now have the Image giving light in the scene, but it will be overall lighting. What I do is use a Distant Light as the sun and line up the shadows of whatever I am using in the scene with the burned in shadows in the image.
I see a DT-YosemiteENV3.tif and a DT-YosemiteHDR3.tif, and neither seems to illuminate the scene at all. I can load the JPG and it shows in the dome with some general overall light. I suppose thats what you must be using. I didn't realize you used a distant light as well. Thanks for the info!

I use the HDR*.tif. The ENV*. tif is just lighting without any background just colours.
Here is a quick test image. I just added a Cylinder Primitive.

OK, maybe Pack two and pack one operate differently (or were fixed). Looks like that above is from Pack two, which I dont have.
In pack one, the ENV's are small blurry and dark, and the HDR's are large and dark. I am going to redownload in case they got updated ast some point.
I just looked and that is Yosemite7 from Pack two.

Yea thats an odd one, here is what I get with a new scene, cylinder and TIF in environment map
Did you delete the Yosemite item from the scene tab? There should only be the camera and distant light, if you added one although you should see something without it.
I never loaded it, I just pointed straight to the TIF file, since I knew where it was. There is a Cylinder and Camera. (no distant light, since I did not cares about shadows at the moment)
I just tried that with three of the HDR tif files and they all worked. I noticed the cylinder isn't at the centre. Try setting all the parameters to zero then centre the camera on it and see what happens.

These I got because they're the same style, and with DOF they'll make good backgrounds. I think the grass is sparse and I don't care for the ground materials, but they are good starting points to add other things to it. With having the same style, you can expand your storylines and keep the same "look" to the environment.

I was majorly bummed, as the only two Genesis 8 Pro Bundles I don't own are Angharad and Aubrey, and they weren't in the mix, so no Genesis 8 love for me. Mostly because I waffled on them until the discounts fell off. I had two lone Genesis 3 Pro bundles that I didn't own, Kimo and Darius, although I owned almost all of the content. I got those, as I have no real interest in the three Genesis 2 Pro bundles I didn't have. The 80% off of the artist sale was really nice, though.
I only went for it because I like Ashan so, so much. Otherwise, he would have waited like Angharad and Aubrey. For the artist sale, I got:

You need the Lion and Addon too unfortunately so I had to buy all three :)
Curious to know, did you get the bundle because he interests you or because of the accompanying deal? If they had done a special like this when Valentino came out, I would have snapped it up then.

I like supporting male products, but also the bundle had several of interest :) He was also the only Pro Bundle in that offer who I didn't have though :)
I already had the lion and the addon… I had to buy them when Kimbo the lion cub was released, as I couldn't resist him! Sure made buying today's cat an easy decision. I got the Smilodon Populator while I was at it, even though I have no idea when I'll use that!
I just really love AM's animals, especially the furry ones.
