My mate George had one of those, and a BSA C15 250. I never had a BSA, but I did have a Triumph 500 Trophy and a Royal Enfield Super Meteor

Not a lot of difference between the BSA's and the Triumphs other than the name almost all parts were interchangeable between them

true...  got the Triumph used and abused, fixed it up (basically a full rebuild, new crank bearings, etc), but hated cleaning out the crank sludge trap..that was a dirty fiddly bit. Thankfully had access to all the shop tools needed.

This one almost drove me crazy - the amount of opacity mask work needed was intense..

here's ours! a necessity up here...

    Where are all the studs?...

Went on a trip to Germany some 15 years ago in January and as the studded ones are not allowed down there, I took the summer tires with me and changed them in southern Sweden.
I was collecting a Toyota Hiace full of Ebay bought stuff over there and every time they saw the studded tires in the back of the Hiace, they went "Wow... Haven't seen those in 20 years..."

I can't stud our tires. we live in a condo with an underground heated parkade. The studs would damage the parkade membrane coating, and as such are a big no-no.. I've had studded tires when we were in Quebec, and have used tire chains there as well.. These tires work very well given the local winter conditions. Have yet to have the ABS or traction control kick in with them on..

Citroen is famous for doing things different, just because they don't want to follow the others, "You want to change the fanbelt, start with removing the right rear wheel"...

I'm told driving on the right was started by the french because they didn't want to drive on the same side as the british.laugh

yeah.. not too many cars have a 2200PSI hydraulic system for suspension sytems.. And the gearshift on a Citroen 2CV! that was a learning experience..  and starting a DS was weird - It was started by moving the column shifter clear over the top to the other side of the wheel, where it engaged the starter (helpfully, the start position was marked "engine start"). and it was a semi automatic gearbox, too.. which again was a learning experience

Thanks guys.. One thing I have been working on is getting the dash instruments to show up. I have a very thin cylinder primitive that I use with phots of the instruments from the internet, suitably photoshoped and masked, then mapped to the top of the cylinder.. Seems to work!

So. as a matter of interest, are there cars or types of cars you guys prefer for renders?
