I think we're talking about two different dresses. I was responding to the query from scal.64.ps about the dress in the Sass Poses promo, whereas you were enquiring about the dress used by kyoto kid for his/her signature character.

For the outfit in the Sass Poses promos: I think it's the Casual Country Girl Outfit with different textures.
So embarrassed. I have it in my Gia 8 bundle, but you get so much stuff, you can't keep track....or at least I can't. Thanks!!
Here is a render that I did using my customized versions of Sara, Lateshya, and Jane. Yes they are all less skinny.
They where created using a combination of G8F body morphs, Body diversity, Shape Shift, and a few other odds and ends.

Is there a reason Jane is looking so stank?
Oh, I find myself wandering through the store looking for some clothes or hair for a promo and going, "Yes, that one would be great!" then realizing it came in some bundle or other and I've had it all along and forgot about it. It's so easy to do.

I’m not sure I should comment on age looks, in my area Jane eould definitively pass for a high schoolers this time, and heck one of my newest co workers we all thought was like 21 shockingly turned out to only be 16...still find it hard to believe. My little sister at one point could pass as 12 when she was 21. Anyway I recently bought one of RawArt’s characters with the idea of making her into this character so here is Teen Jane with her..., I cancelled the render for a preview will replace with fully rendered image hopefully tomorrow morning

Is it possible to be embarressed twice in one page because you already have things? I do have the SB3 but didn't know that was what it referred to, and I also didn't recognnize the ibiza dress retextured. I really need to get a grip.

And that's the thing. We have chronological age and assumed age. In the real world lots of actual teenagers look 21 -- or older -- and lots of women in their twenty's look like teenagers. That is not a luxury I have when artistically I'm trying to get across the idea of a specific age. I lot of people have done renders where teen Jane with work looks like a teen in which I don't even question the age, but that's the rub (with work). She's a very nice base figure, but if I'm wanting her specifically for renders in which I'm wanting to evoke high school or there abouts, and not some stripper cosplaying as a catholic school girl, other figures actually look more high schoolish right out of the box with no work what so ever.

Yeah, I played a bit with the colour.
For the setting I used the Fast Production Lights which also has a number of different HDRs and is great for doing proof renders.
I got married at 15 to a catholic eacher and lied to the nuns about being 19, still a teen. The truth is Daz needs to make some tweens, not teens, and some iddy biddy small dogs for the tweens.
...I just dial spin them myself.
If this Jane said she was 16, I would believe it. If she said she was 25 I would believe that, too. Its pointless and silly to argue about how old somebody LOOKS. Everybody is different. We all know somebody who is at the opposite end of the spectrum, the late 20's person with a baby face, and the teenager with the face of a 30 year old. It happens.
I know this thread died, but I just got some things and I wanted to chime on Jane's quality. Its a real mixed bag...
You should be able to right click and view these at full resolution by choosing "open in a new tab". They are all 3000 pixels so you can zoom in and see the detail I am describing.
Here is Jane at her default settings. All I can say is Yikes.
Why this is the default is just beyond me. Maybe the sunburned look is in? Daz Originals sure do love this overly tranlsucent skin. But it doesn't look good at all, why do so many Daz Originals do this? Anyway, besides the skin color, the roughness of the skin is all over the place. Look at her neck! This is supposed to be a teen!? What teenager has a neck that is this weathered??? A young woman in the prime of her life will not have a neck like this. The neck on a woman supposedly this age should be nearly perfectly smooth and soft. Look at her hand, look at how wrinkled her hands are. You can also see a lot of divets in her leg. But, look at the arm on the right. Look how shiny her forearm is, it is perfectly smooth like plastic. There is no consistancy here. So if you turn down the bumps or normals, she will get even smoother more plastic like skin in other areas. That is really not good.
Lets use the medium translucency preset. Same lights and everything.
Ok, this is much better, but while her skin tone is better, there is still the issue with rough areas in places that should not be rough, and smooth in others that should be more textured. My hands look better than this girl's!
Alright, so what do we do then? I believe that Jane has a good sculpt, which is why I broke down to get her. It also so happened that Jane reminds me of a special person I knew back in college. Oh yeah, do note I just wrote COLLEGE. Remember what what I wrote above. Anyway, what if Daz used somebody else for their textures and materials? It so happens that another young woman released just after Jane by Bluejaunte. Lets use BJ Sina skin on Jane and compare. Here is Jane with Sina skin preset right out of the box, same lights and camera. I also used Sina's fiber mesh brows.
Oh my! Just like that, everything has changed. You can now see just how pretty Jane's sculpt is here. And look at her skin! It is, dare I say, approaching photoreal, and this is with Sina "right out of the box" as they might say. All of my complaints are gone. Her skin has detail, but it doesn't have any weird rough areas, nor any overly shiny areas. Her neck is age appropreately delicate, her ears look much better, her eyes look better, everything is just better. The problem though, is why do I need to use another skin on Jane in the first place?
I cannot imagine how anyone could say that the first two images are objectively better, especially upon close inspection. I suppose if you really want to, you could still use Jane's skin with Sina's. Simply replace the skin color and trans maps with Jane's. More on this below.
I have always loved the bluejaunte models, and obviously I am not alone there. BJ has clearly found a formula that really works. Daz seriously needs to study bluejaunte's techniques, maybe pay him for some tips or something. Anything, whatever it takes, do it.
However, as much as I like them, I think Sina's skin works better on Jane. I think the two are just perfect for each other, better than they are as separate models. Jane's sculpt is charmingly cute and Sina's skin is wonderfully real.
Here is Jane using Sina's preset, except I replaced the base color and translucency maps with Jane's. Here is the result.
So you can enjoy Jane's actual skin textures, but with vastly improved bump, normal, and dual lobe spec settings by using Sina's. Her hands look fine, the neck is ok, and the gloss is logical. I still prefer Sina's full preset, but even this hybrid is much better than Jane's full preset.
This is exactly what I did:
Load Sina's material preset. Find the Default Templates in the surfaces tab. Each template corresponds to a UV map, Template 1 is face, 2 is torso, 3 is legs, 4 is arms. So now go to each one and replace the Base Color map with the matching Jane "D" map. Next replace the Translucency Color maps with their matching Jane "SSS" maps. I left everything else, the eyes, mesh eyebrows, and nails alone.
Personally, it is impossible to determine age accurately; it is more about possibilities, or probabilities.
I asked mum about this image, and she said, she had that shape until her mid to late 40s. Yes, including the flat stomach (she looked after herself and watched what she ate).
Her words, "No way is she a teen, could be as old as 40, if she's been really careful."
This image is purely Jane 8 morph with some asymmetry in her face. I customised the translucency textures.
We also pick up the age of a person based on many factors other than height and body size and shape. Context (who they're with and what they're doing) and clothes play a huge part, as does the sound of a person's voice. For girls (in particular) makeup or its lack also has an influence.
... And if all else fails, we ask the persons age. With Daz models, we can't ask their age; if the PA says they're a teen, then they are a teen. We can however change it ourselves with the myriad of morphs and shader/texture options.

Yep, but like all other cues they can be misleading, which is why we combine them and still get it wrong. Carding folks before they get a drink.

Yea wrinkles and such are terrible on this character. Especially elbow area looks like some burn marks even with reduced bumps/normals.
I don't understand why they released another Gen 8 character when we are looking at Gen 9 now. All the negative opinions.have persuaded me to skip this character.
