    I find all this "she doesn't look like a teen" stuff to be insane.

    She looks like a Teen.

    She does not look like a tween.

    That's not a teenager, that's a 12 year old.

    For me this whole "looks (not) like a teen" discussion is kinda interesting from a special point of view: it seems american teens look all a lot younger than their european counterparts I am used to cheeky, especially the male ones...

    And DAZ female teens all seem to be lacking in the "real noses" departement to me.

    Noses are one of the main reasons for not buying a figure. There's just too many "cute small noses" and too few like those I see when going out. cheeky

    To me its flawed perception. I have to ask, when was the last time most of these people actually saw a real teenager?

    Well, I dumped it all from my cart. Even with the pc coupon it was still bringing over $60 with the bundle and 4 add-ons. Not worth it to me, and I've never had to struggle so hard to pick add-ons for a bundle. Dorky clothes, some that seem too old for her, and Jane lingerie, no thanks.  I thought she was going to be like Teen Kaylee, but with an older sister who is in high school or a freshman at college. Jane looks old enough to get in a bar without being carded, and at her older looking age, Teen Kaylee could be Jane's daughter. Tempted, but ultimately I can't live with her price, and her 'less teen---more college age and/or young soccer mom'  with some of her looks. Teen Jane was a curve ball.

    Something about a early-20s "teen" made me think of them.

    Someone asked on my thread in the Art Studio what Sara without Teen Jane 8 would look like with the Face Young dialed in. I played with the Face Young and Cheeks Young dials and got this. I really like how it changed her look. I'm not missing Teen Jane 8 at all.

    You might find that any maps for translucency or transmitted something have red on the nose; you could adjust that map.

    I think it all depends on where you live. Here in LA, we have a lot of cute small noses, some by plastic surgery, others’ not... The fashion for teens here is currently very little makeup if any and more of a Coachella nouveau hippie look. So teens actually look younger than they used to. And young twenties look like teens. Everyone seems to look a decade younger than they are, which is great when you get older lol. I think a lot of what characters you are drawn to depends on where you live. Orange skin doesn’t bother me because everyone here is somewhat tan or uses spray tan. The bluish grey skin that some PAs prefer look sickly to me, but probably seem normal to those on the East coast especially during winter. 

    So obviously not everyone has the same taste in characters and see different ages depending on what they are used to...

    Lol. I think people see what they want to see.

    I also lived in la and haven’t noticed people look 10 years younger  or had small noses. Maybe the wealthy budding actors and models think they do, but In fact, people these days in general are maturing earlier due to having enough to eat and other factors.

    LOL, people on the east coast look sickly & have blueish-grey skin? And what planet would that east coast be on? People aren't what some PAs choose to use for their character ad copy lighting.

    Around here young people aren't looking younger than they used to either. A small percentage of people for some of the extremes in skinniness and fatness are much higher than they used to commonly be, but that ain't making them look younger though once they pass that extreme threshold. A certain amount of fatness can make one look much younger even up to some very obese weights but too much weight creates concern for one's health when strangers see them. One thing is sure though being fatter makes one look younger while being extremely skinny makes one look older.

    Both of the images I posted above (links down below) are Sara without the Teen Jane morphs loaded in because I didn't buy Teen Jane yet. You can definitely use her without Teen Jane. Just realize she isn't going to look exactly like she would if she had the Teen Jane added in which @dkgoose said was dialed in at 100% when he answered my question.     I think you would need those morphs on Jane anyway, she does not look like a teenager. And with Growing Up morphs, you can make pretty much any character look like a teen. 

    Personally, I would recommend Jane to people who like a generic character that they can tweak and make their own. I don’t think she even adds much to  the gene pool, but she’s really easy to morph into whatever you want her to be. Rendering Aleena now (addon) and she’s very pretty but in no way looks like a teen! 

    ..yeah I see your point. I have been creating teen and even tween characters since the Gen4 days when we had none without specialised utilities such as the Growing Up Morphs.  Used to be a lot of work back in the day.  With Growing Up and the plethora of teen characters since the introduction of Genesis, I feel like i'm cheating.

    Not to hijack the thread but here is the latest rebuild of my signature character (post hard drive crash) Using G3F, a mix of Molly, Tween Julie, and Zahara (the latter via GenX) with the Growing up Morphs and skin created in SBP3.  This would have taken weeks in the Gen4 days as opposed to a couple evenings today.

    Lateshya isn't my favorite, probably because I like Sara and her freckle options a bit more.

    She dials in with Teen Jane at 50%. I decided to dial Jane back to 25% and added 25% of Aiko (who is the generic "make everything cooler" dial for me). I also added a little Zev0 Growing Up to dial down her age a bit, although she's still rather blessed up top, I'd say. I also dialed up her Nose Size because that's how I roll.

    I do like the "Girl Power" on the Body Pop outfit shirt, although I like the camo pants better (from the Textures pack).

    I notice that people look a LOT younger than their age but I think it’s because these people eat really healthy, don’t eat junk food, or chemicals, hormones or red meat, eat lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, work out, stay slim, dress and act young, ...It’s like NeverNever Land here. You see someone you haven’t seen for over 10 years and you both look exactly the same. I know a few people who had minor surgery, but most people I know don’t. And “budding” actors are never wealthy lol, believe me. Parties here are very mixed age-wise, and in my circles, involve the entertainment industry or the creative arts or new tech like VR, so you often see 20 somethings talking to 50 somethings and they dress the same and it’s like everyone is the same age. Maturation is something that never made it to LA, if it exists at all...

    I bought Sara yesterday even though I didn't buy Jane or any bundles. She's super cute, and couldn't pass up her freckles.  She can probably can be dialed to look close enough to Jane using other figures. 
    I think the growing up morphs might make her a bit younger, and I'll just have to avoid using her dark makeup and lips to make her the younger teen I was looking for.

    I actually broke down and bought the Teen Jane 8 bundle today. With the new loyalty bonus and $70 free products and the ability to buy a GC with the loyalty bonus? Well, let's just say the savings were too good to pass up. I picked up one of the pro bundles as my free item for about $6 when it was all said and done. I'm not even putting in a ticket to return Sara since I didn't pay that much for her out of pocket and technically, I used the bonus discount to pay for the Jane bundle which Sara is a part of so I'm calling it done and I'm happy. I saved a bunch of money today and got a lot of cool stuff. 

    I still think Sara is the best part of the whole Teen Jane 8 deal, with or without Teen Jane 8. I would have been perfectly happy with her and no Teen Jane 8 bundle if this new bonus hadn't popped up.

    It might be a readymade outfit I've not seen, but it looks to me like Nikisatez's Multi Dress System, with its Expansion Pack 1 for the off-the-shoulder option and the trim. Or if it's not, you could certainly make something very similar using those products.

    I looked at it but even with it's hundreds of possbilities, it doesn't look the same, or someone would have had to make some serious transmaps
