I had to give up on Gamma Correction for now. Maybe DS 4.6.0.18 has a bug with that and displacement maps. Maybe I'll try again later. Anyway, with some good advice from Zev0, I've managed a render I'm happy with. This is my attempt at a man approaching middle age. This is Genesis with several morphs dialed in, including Aging Morphs. The skin in Jeremy. Background is HDR Pro Sets Monterey. I toned down the displacement of wrinkles and vascularity. Postwork in Photoshop to adjust brightness and contrast.

Thanks Zev0 and DraagonStorm for a new toy to play with. I've been waiting for these overlays since I bought Aging Morphs back at Renderosity. Today I went back to the store and bought Face Weight, while it is still 50% off.

You're welcome. Whenever I saw the blue parrot asking where it was in the threads I felt bad:) And nice convincing character you created:)

He put on a little weight and grew a mustache and got freckles from staying out in the sun too long! I think those freckles are just the touch he needed. I like this guy even better.
No postwork on this one. I just increased the light intensity a little.

Great job! I like them both. Great feeling of the passing of years, and I think I know that guy. :)

Very nice. I agree I like the second one better, the skin looks a bit less shiney and more real to me. With the environment, lighting and composition this looks a lot like some guy took a selfie. Very realistic.

    I love your products, Zev0

Question: I bought the bundle. How long does is a layering supposed to take? it seems to take qute awhile on my system - the computer busy icon keeps coming on and off, the screen may flash, it seems to keep working and I don't see it finish after waiting several minutes, during which time I cannot access any viewport controls. It seems to be the same whether I use a V4 texture or a V5 texture.

I reinstalled DAZ 4.6 thinking that may be it.
    Any hints to look into?

Thanks reelyor:) After applying an overlay it takes about 10 secs on my machine.. I just move the mouse around until I have full functionality. Don't click while its loading, that can hang things up. Wish I could have a progress bar, but that cant be done lol. So when you apply overlays, it will hang for a few seconds, then looks like you can move things, but dont click, it loads more after that. So to be save just give it 30 seconds..on slower rigs it might take a bit longer.

    Thanks.
I'll try the no click, but mine seems to just go and go and go, a lot more than 10 seconds.
I can move the mouse, too, but it keeps on...
I know there must be quite a bit of calculating going on. maybe I'll try re-installing.
At least I know what the norm should be now.
I have a Quat AMD at 3.2, 6 mb memory, NVidia GT-240 card, so I owuldn't think that was it.

No don't re-install. Based on your specs the calculation time seems right. I have an I7 with 16gb ram. So I expect it to take a bit longer on systems with less ram. There is a fair bit of stuff working in the background that the script is doing.

Thanks for another wonderful product, Zev0! I'm highly impressed with the little bit I've played with these overlays so far, and look forward to exploring more. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for these. I've been trying to make convincing older characters since G3, and this is the first time I really felt like I've succeeded.

Your stuff was pretty much on my autobuy list before now, but thank you for making that confidence justified. :)

(And as a hat-tip to the other PA name on this product... yup, the hair here uses Draagonstorm's Infinite Variety. Many thanks to her as well! :D )

He's the boss of my futuristic city's criminal underground. So not a literal bloodsucker, but you're not far off -- he's certainly caused a lot of suffering and death.

I'm glad you like it. As I said -- I've been waiting a loooong time to get him and a few others proper faces. This product has pretty well made my week.

I like your User Name. It reminds me of Carl Sandburg. :)

Here is a render using the overlays with some of the aging morphs applied to M5.

Figured I throw in my own artist render using the overlays also... (remember Zev0 did the texture work, all I did was wrap it up, and make it easier to use with script ;) )

I really want to use this but it is too big for my screen, and the resolution is already as high as it goes on my laptop. Are there any key commands for the Process and Cancel buttons or anything else I can do?

    FYI my res is 1366 x 768

Can your mouse go offscreen? Because if so I can send you a layout of the interface so you know roughly where the process or cancel button is.

Though the mouse disappears off the screen, clicking on the general area where the buttons appear in the pdf does nothing, so I think it isn't really going offscreen. To do that I have to drag my toolbar to the side, because the first thing that happens is it comes out of hiding. A scrolling option on the script would really help.

Unfortunately we cannot change the script for isolated situations. It would cost us a lot of time and money. We do want everybody to enjoy what we make, but unfortunately have to go with the standards that majority of users use in terms of tech. Please feel free to return the product for a refund. Really sorry about this. Maybe Draagonstorm can say something on the issue.

I'm really sorry too as I really wanted to use this. Unfortunately there is a catch on the Free Gen4 pro bundles in that I can't return things bought with one as I did this. I'll contact sales but I think I am stuck with it. :-(

For one thing, I have to work within the constraints of DAZ Script. And there is no 'scrolling' widget or resize widget, for the screen available to DAZ Scripting.

As you can see there is a lot of options that had to be fit on to the screen. I did separate them between diffuse and displacement because of the height of the screen if I tried to include all on one screen. Another separation would have caused even more confusion then what I did do... As there would have been no 'logical' reason for the separation within the displacement/bump

I had similar issues with Reality and another script on my old laptop. I possible workround is to click on the last visible control on the form (maybe twice to turn it back to original value) and then use the tab key to move the focus to the required, off-screen, command button, then space or enter key to action the selection.

Sorry, it was after midnight here when I last posted so I went to bed.

I think I have found a workaround - it is far from ideal but it does mean I can use this. I plugged my laptop into my CRT monitor and was able to adjust the screen res to 1152 x 864 and it just fit, I was able to apply and test the settings etc. :-)

Thanks for your suggestion Simon, but the tab doesn't seem to work on this - funnily enough Reality and Look at My Hair are both fine on my laptop.

Cool. Glad you managed to salvage it. Ye laptop resolutions aren't the norm.

Another option (on a Windows machine) is to hit ALT + SPACE, then M, then you can use the arrow keys to move the dialog box upwards until you can see the bottom of it.
