BTW,I saw this in the sale thread and it's a good idea- you can get that gift card discount of 15%, and then use that money to buy a discounted PC+ membership when it's offered. They usually offer the membership at a discount close to when the sale starts, and sometime during it.

i'm so lost - searching the forums and googling it and can't find anything. I know a while back I saw someone here...I think it was @L'Adair who mentioned how to use the old cyclorama backdrop in iray. You change something in the surfaces...but I can't for the life of me remember! Can anyone recall?? (and I am SO writing it down this time)
Friesians are absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love with them watching the one in Ladyhawke, then was lucky enough to see one in real life. I wanted one of my own SO bad, lol. I'm jealous. ;)

Wind kicking up now, pouring down rain, but the barn owner fell last night and hurt her hip and ankle so my hubby and I are headed to the barn to help feed and clean stalls. Her husband got called in to work. Just wanted to let you know everything (as I thought) is fine here, will be like a prolonged thunderstorm and our winds can gust 50mph with those (or more). We are taking our truck and will be fine. If it gets bad, we'll simply stay there.
So stupid, 20,000 out of 125,000 people in FLOOD ZONES evacuated. They're going to get a wake up call because emergency workers are NOT going out in a Category 4. There's NO excuse, this was predicted yesterday to be Category 3 and actually in early evening the night before that.

When I picked up my sister flying in to visit last year the airport is in Lexington and right accross the street from Keeneland Race Track. Well, that was out of season but there are horse farms around and the Kentucky Horse Park. They have Lippizans and I think Bud Draft Horses too but I always forget the name, They are huge! It makes one think they escaped from the ice age or something. The park there though emphasizes thoroughbreds & walking horses, those being the most common in Kentucky, although I know of a place near me that keeps Shetland horses that are very small. I'm not sure if they raise them as pets or to train small children to horse back ride or something, although I don't know if that's done.

Perhaps you're thinking of this post…? It's in the Hidden Treasures thread. Basically, I make the the backdrop "slightly" emissive, (but not enough to "light" the scene.) If you're good in photoshop/gimp, you may also want to create a bump map and/or a normal map. I hide the extra, upright bits. The background and the ground are all one texture on these, and generally really bad, (in Iray.) Using something like Ultrascatter to add rocks, grass, leaves, etc. can go a long way to making the ground look better.
ETA: I said this recently in here, but the trick to searching Daz with Google is to use the "site:" operator. For example: site:www.daz3d.com/forums/ l'adair "multiplane cyclorama"
(I include the www in the domain as without it, I got results in languages I couldn't read! And I include the /forums/ to filter out product pages.)
Well we got a heavy band of rain as far away as Kentucky from Hurricane Michael but it only delays me mowing the grass at a couple of places for a few days. Hope all you in that area of the Florida Panhandle have nothing worse personally than a bit of drying out to do (I know some places have major rebuilding to do).
I think I will go spend that Victoria-20 coupon now, I already spend the Victoria-10 on clothing shader materials from DO/Diane
The Victora-10 and 20 codes don't seem to work. price stays and does not reduce.
Can't be a PC+ or item marked 'New' and must be a DAZ Original. So basically it's the products with the aqua face silouette icon without the 'New' marking but also without the PC+ icon.

Yup, got that. :-) But, still not working. And, that's selecting a qualifying item and placing into cart. And, adding in DO using victoria-20 code as well.

This article sums up Hurricane Michael the best. There's animal suffering too- 2 million chickens killed just in one place. That Frank's organization that I linked to for Florence is already helping here in Panama City.
I, too, had problems with that stupid banner. I accidentally clicked out of it and it never did appear in my account under exclusive offers, but I had the code. Then it didn't work for awhile.
I have a good friend who lives in Panama City Beach. They evacuated to Jacksonville so all are safe but still waiting to hear about their home. Looking at images from Mexico Beach, hard to believe the damage.
They remind me of Whippoorwills which my mom had had her house for a long time after I build her a sidewalk around her house of fieldstone we'd gathered up from her land. Whippoorwills love rocky areas on the ground to hop around on, attrack a mate, & build nests. In fact, one year they build a nest right under her bedroom window! I like them so much I am reminded to build me up some flagstone around the base of my house too to try & attract them.
Also, Wood Thrush are fascinating to listen too, my favorite. I had some here at this house but apparently I need to clear out some brush near the rear of my back yard as they didn't sing that I heard this year but had in prior years.
They are both beautiful that you should see live if you can manage. Wood Thrushes are easy to see any time of day one you recognize their voice but are must active after 15:00 while Whippoorwills you will both have to hear them and be lucky and have excellent eyesight because they don't start til dusk at almost darktime. It helps if they come hang out right outside your window of course.

I think the Whippoorwill, Chuck Will's Widow, and similar birds are very fascinating to look at.
For the Victoria-20 then you need to add a new product from today or yesterday which your will have to pay full price for. I choose the Art Deco Lobby as it was cheapest. For some reason the new Mage Accessories Pose Set doesn't work so you can't use that unless they fixed it.
A lot of behind the scenes chatter, to summarize, NO, I never got coupon 2 to work. Ever. The rest of them did for me. Not using coupon 5 so don't know about that one. Coupon 2 is now gone.
Yeah I was unable to use coupon #2 as well, I didn't try #4, but the rest worked.
I could never get #3 to work.
#3 worked for me as well as #5 (tutorials at 80% off I couldn't resist!)
#6 is up. Haven't tried it
Well, I not only tried it, it was my downfall. Loaded up! Best one yet IMO because I can use it multiple ways. My gift card funds are almost kaput.
Yep, #6 got me too! I narrowly resisted #5 (there are a couple of tutorial bundles I'd like but even at 80% they take too much of my "this is supposed to be for the PC+ Anniversary" store credit.)
I was gone all day but got back in time to use #6. More shaders to play with.
