Bravo!!!
Awesome stuff FENgari!
That last one looks very good.
awesome tips on shading and models yay @Fengari
The metals...
Basic metal (reflection channel darkened from left to right)
As above, but with a tint provided through the colour channel.
Bump
Displaced
Using the same technique - other materials are possible...
Matt-glazed ceramic
Alabaster
Modern shiny plastic
Just a short note:
All the materials I've showcased are native Carrara renders...
Fantastic FENgari!!!
Bravo!!!
A few more experiments... (These render very quickly - there are no complicated SSS or Transparency calculations just good ol' colour and IOR)
A quick variation in the colour channels...
i love the multichanner mixer its like tasting the rainbow
Blurring the reflections...
They came to discover...
But the Covid-19 Australian strain soon discovered them !
how wacky are they.....
they're little beaudies cobber
+1 !!!
model based on Billy Meier's Wedding Cake UFO
how wacky is this..... never heard of Billy Meier I hear you say?
well, neither did I till the other day ... he's a dude from Switzerland and is the founder of a UFO religion called the "Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien" and alleged contactee whose UFO photographs are claimed to show alien spacecraft.
I have no idea what Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien means!!
but it must be wacky!!
Stezza,
I ran Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien through Google translate and it came up with "Free interest group for border sciences and humanities and ufology studies". I also looked up ufology, the study of unidentified flying objects.
I seen a UFO once.. scared the cr@p out of me!
was sitting at dining room table on a cloudless sunny day when this huge shadow came over the house, I looked out the back door and just above the back of the house was this huge red thing!
It did spook me... I went outside for a better look at this silent flyer .... that's when I realised it was the GoodYear Blimp... oh well....
couldn't believe how low it was...
https://www.facebook.com/WBTPD/posts/ufo-nope-its-the-goodyear-blimp-over-georgetown/2324021860957923/
I just searched for the photo I took of it.. was back in 2008!
twas the Holden Blimp.... that's why it was red
that thing hovered over my backyard for a while during the Clipsal 500 race weekend and I resisted the urge to sunbathe
"Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien"
Say that three times really fast! LOL
lol
I can't even say it once!
I guess that leads to today's wacky model
The Carrara Blimp
Looking great !!!
One I didn't 'snap' earlier... LOL
Nice blimp!
It reminded me of the first (or second) render I ever posted to the forum:
Pretty basic, I know. :) Used native content.
the truth is out there......................... in Carrara lol
sweet.. I remember that
you should now redo it with all the new stuff you've learned
tee hee hee
pigeons on t.p. gotta wash my keyboard now lol
...more boned simple shapes
Procedural shader fixed with "Procedural Lock" Great little gem by DCG... Note how curve filter is used to repeat the gradient on the cylinder 'ribs.'
Some examples of bone deformations and morph deformations
that middle one
I must have a dirty mind
