    Good thinking @deeleelaw57

This month isn't going to be easy cheeky

why is it ducky always has the best point of view.

That's his superpower. surprise Thanks for the comments on my Star render everyone!

Now I'm been thinking to myself, what is a diamond shape? As a non-american I wasn't aware that the baseball field was called a diamond. Now I've learned something today too. Thank you @deeleelaw57 and well done with the render. Looks like a very cozy place, especially for a baseball fan.

  • Thank you  mach25, xmasrose and isidorn.

It is a cozy place isidorn, sitting on a hard plastic seat, elbow to elbow with bunch of other people, eating hot dogs, peanuts and sipping a cold beverage ( I prefer soft drinks) for several hours all why watching your favorite home team get its but kicked. That is the glory of major league baseball, "GO PADRES".

For those that don't like hot dogs or soft drinks, my park also has quiche, sushi, beer and wine (no alcohol served after the seventh inning stretch).

  • By then everyone is pretty much drunk anyway giggles!

We Canadians love a good (drunk) game of baseball too!!!!\

    BTW excellent render Dee!!

  • thank you Saphirewild

    play ball yes

  • Thank you bigh

  • Thanks everyone for the comments about The Star's Song.  During an interview FireBlooD were asked, "It must be so much easier touring with a group of fairies than with a fully grown dragon?" There was an long pause that told its own story before Minos answered, "Well, actually..."

    @L'Adair Lovely render.

    @mach25 WOW!

These spacey renders remind me of this:

Stars occupy minute areas of space
They are clustered a few billion here
    And a few billion there
As if seeking consolation in numbers
    Space does not care,

    (Hawkwind -- The Black Corridor)

@xmasrose (aka tulipe) What a whopper! Great presentation of the idea.

@Llola Lane Gorgeous render! (But it is too early for Xmas!)

@isidorn Starring Ducky the superstar (with a star view), and Star in a star with stars; so at least it fits the theme! Truly fun render.

As we transition from Star to Diamond I'll just mention that astronomers think that some small, very old, cool stars have as their cores huge diamonds.

@deeleelaw57 I'm a non-sporty, non-american now learning the name of the baseball field. Cosy and comfortable render, Play Ball!

Now I'll go back to scratching my head trying to think of what to render.

  • Thank you nattaruk, I pride myself on knowing all about sports as any man does and realize I know almost nothing of sports as most men will never admit. The ball field is called a diamond as looking out from home plate it has the shape of a diamond if you were to view one from the side. It is in fact a 90 foot square turned 90 degrees but the term baseball square does not sound right.

Good thing the theme was not rugby or I would have had a player from the mid to late 1800's holding an inflated animal bladder.

  • ewwwww!! now that is not exactly a nice thought there Dee!!!!!

Looks like the first diamond is in. And a creative one, too!

Dimi is eyeing the shinies in my library longingly, but I may walk a diferent path than letting the rogue have his way for a change..

Oh, no I misst the stars month... I hope I manage for diamonds. Though yes I was thinking about a different shape for diamond as well.

  • mach25mach25 Posts: 256

    thanks nattaruk,nice poem

@limwelly,there is a loophole if you want to make a star render,in Llola's other thread is full of stars,Elvis and that kinda stars...

I managed this month, rather traditional take on the subject but this was a big learning experience as I tweaked about every surface

So here is Diamonds N Pearls

I come back after more sleep for some commenting :D

    Nice work!

  • Looks great Linwelly I love the eye reflections. Diamonds are so difficult to light, if your off a bit they tend to vanish, turn the specular to high and you could end up holding a glow.
