I was wondering who loves to take photos ? What subjects do like like to phonograph? What type of camera you use?
I use a Fuji Fine Pix s5200 it getting pretty old , but it still take fairly good photos.I mostly take photos wildlife, insects, nature and flowers. The photos below are that of an Luna Moth. and one with him on my dirty hand. The month payed me a visit while I was working on my garden and I almost always have my camera with me

    Okay here are a couple more to move things along a bit. I mainly take 'nature' shots, animals plants, flowers landscapes. Though I do take other subjects if they catch my interest. I also do a lot of close up (macro) work, mostly out and a bout rather than an inside studio set up, with mixed success, like the two below. Both taken at a local public garden with a Canon 7D & Sigma 150mm macro lens.

    Here's another one, this time taken near the coast in Norfolk (the UK county). I believe this is a day flying moth rather than a butterfly based on the wing formation but I am no expert.

    Best photograph (IMO) that I've ever taken was this one I called "I Spy" (original title, I know. *rolleyes*).

    Took it with a little casio point and shoot and believe it or not, I never knew my eyes weren't just brown until I took this pic (yes of my own eye).

    OOOOH photo thread hehe :)

    I have a Cannon EOS Digital Rebel that I've had for years now that I take pictures with
    (Duckies, Mill and Covered Bridge)


    We also have a cheapo Samsung Camera that I LOVE that takes really nice pics and was like $100.
    Best money I ever spent (Flower and Lake)


    ATM I think these are my fav pictures that either myself or my husband have taken though we have thousands. We spend whole days sometimes just taking photos as a family since both me and my husband and both our kids love to take pictures :)

    Yeah I love that one. Pretty positive hubby took it. Best part, we were at the park and it was Mother's Day when he took it so always had kinda extra special sentiment :)


    on topic, WOW on all the lovely photos. Think I especially like Kinich's uber closeups but I'm a macro NUT LOL and the gator and squirrels :) But they are all just beautiful that I've seen so far (and yes Adam you have a very pretty eye ;))

    Great images everyone.

    LX I hope you did shoot those greys....oh yes they aren't considered vermon over there not like here.

    I have been trying to learn my Canon EOS350D for some years mostly around my garden with not being able to venture far these days.

    I only have one lens that came with the camera and I find the 55mm lens to be very limiting on what I can shoot.

    I only shoot them with a camera. They have gotten quite used to me, often they will come up to me and beg for food. One day I had 7 of them chasing and playing with each other around my feet. Often they were only a few inches from me,

    I love taking photo's. I seldom get the chance to do it with my back. We're hoping to get out a lot more this year.

    We have a nice outdated, Cannon Rebel SLR that I took the picture of the ducks with. Now we primarily use a point and shoot.

    I have the same problem as Jaderail, my camera decided to stop working properly, I am told a sensor has gone in it. I think I preferred it when cameras had this funny stuff called film you needed to load in them I never had one of them stop wroking. :roll:

    These two taken last summer are of a friends horses. Mum, her sister and her babe, and the other is when the colt decided it was mealtime, and tried trying to get to his mum

    Really like the old mill and the covered bridge, thats if it is an old water wheel powered mill. Also do you Know why the bridges were built with roofs over them???

    I like taking photos too but my partner has a monopoly on both our cameras as she is the real photographer of the family, she is also a very active member of the local photographic society.

    Yes it is a water powered mill. Yes the bridge was built with the roof on it.

    Maybe it's so you can cross the river without getting wet if it's raining ?

    with out the roof the road surface would get wet and slippery and hazardous, also it helps protect the bridge from rotting out as fast. Plus in winter it kept the bridge from piling up with snow

    nice and crisp there Kinich, nice. One day I will get to Kew if I ever get down that way. Eden project is another on my bucket list.

    The Robin and Nuthatch look a tad wet...been raining that day?
