    Hi,

those strange lines or areas first appeared for me upgrading to 4.9.3.166. (For several reasons I'm back to 4.9.2.70 now)

What I Found out of my investigations is as follows:

    1. Those artefacts only appear, if the surface isn't clearly above the zero level. Y-Translate has to be >0.
    2. It depends on the sequence of loading scene and dome.
    3. Switching Show Ground On/Off didn't matter.

Barbult: Your water is pretty murky. I can't see the girl's leg / feet.

    Good detective work.

The water in my images is exactly as delivered in the product. I did not alter it. The murky appearance seems to be affected somewhat by the lighting used. The water seems a little clearer to me with Sun Sky only. I think it is rendering as intended.

Fantastic!  That was it and the banding is stopped. Wasn't sure how much of a move I had to give the ground, so I did move it by 2.00 on the positive Y axis and rendered. It is wonderful to see it rendering out like it should! Thank you everyone.

Yes, I know the fix will come once it has cleared all the backend, but at least I know what I can do to render this without banding now!
