If any of these new dog figures coming down the pipe can do a realistic Keeshond breed morph with that big double coat, I'll be in heaven. And broke from tossing all of my money at the creator. :D
Oh, that would be sweet! Keeshonds always seem to be ignored by anyone doing breeds. My dog who was best friends with my cat (posted about a few posts up) was a Keeshond. The best dog in the world. I had no idea what he was when I got him as he was bald. Imagine my surprise when his fur all grew back out! :)
I had to look up Keeshond, never heard of them previously. They're gorgeous! Do they shed? You could weave a blanket from all that fur. Which, IMO is why no one but AM would consider taking one on. That said, a husky might accept a Keeshond morph. Scale it down, a shiba inu.
They don't shed like a short-haired breed does, but you end up with tumbleweeds of undercoat behind doors and under furniture. And then there's the spring blow where they drop the undercoat. I would end up brushing out bags and bags of fur (which, yes, can be spun and woven!).
Any of the spitz breeds would be great to have: Samoyed, Keeshond, Malamute, Chow, American Eskimo, Akita, Pomeranian. The list goes on and on.
I'd love to get new dogs and cats ( hopefully Iray supported ), but also I'd like get my hands on good eagle model. I've tried to create one myself for some time now, but despite all my efforts, it still looks horrible, so I'd be more than happy to spend money for quality bird models too. Oh, and if we can suggest ideas, then maybe griffons, dragons and other fantasy creatures are really high on my shopping list too.

I like the facial expressiions you can achieve with the dog "Bacon" by 3D Universe. It's a joy to animate.
Have you seen the chihuahua morph Chris did for their doggie model? SO CUTE!
Yes! I don't suppose I can take credit for that idea, can I? I know I did say at lease once how a LAMF (Look At My Feathers) type product would be so cool. Credit or no, I'll be one of the first to buy!!!

Feathers have been in our WIP for quite some time actually.

Ha, as Morana said they don't really shed. They do blow their undercoats twice a year get rid of the old and make ready for the new season. Mine blew his coat in the early Spring and then again at the end of the Fall. Being a knitter with all that fluff (looks a little bit like wool off a sheep) I decided to learn how to spin. I found a great book about spinning and knitting with dog fur! Even though my Kees is now gone, I still have all the fur I collected waiting until I was good enough at spinning to tackle it. He was a great dog and I had him for 15 wonderful years.
They surprise you sometimes. When my Kees got sick, they didn't expect him to last longer than a few months. He surprised everyone and hung on in fairly good health for a little over a year. At the end, he couldn't walk as his hips gave out. You should have seen me carrying a 50 pound dog outside every few hours for bathroom breaks. Luckily, we didn't have to worry about incontinence or anything. They can be very resilient at times when it comes to their health. And, yeah, my boys took it hard when he finally passed on. It's one of those tough lessons that kids learn that just breaks our hearts as parents.
If it helps at all, I've always felt pets with their shorter-than-yours lifespans actually helps kids prepare for the inevitable loss of family and friends a little better.

She's a general nuisance whether a mouse is involved or not; every time she starts meowing about something, I tell her "stick a mouse in it".

on the topic of doghair jumpers though, be warned, they smell like dog esp when wet.
a friend had a samoyed and was an avid spinner with her own sheep and goats and decided to knit a jumper from her dog's fur, it looked lovely was soft but she said could not wear it out in public due to the odour.
It may be a nice way to remember your little mate at home keeping warm but be warned.

Thanks. It's been a long time now since he passed, but I still think about him. I'm thankful that I had him for as long as I did. He was a stray that the people at the tire place my mom did business with found him. Matted fur like crazy and the groomer had to literally shave it all off because there was no way they could groom him. No idea how long he had been on the street, but probably awhile. I went to get new tires on my mom's car and came home with an ugly bald dog. Imagine my surprise when he finally ended up looking something like this:
That one isn't mine, but it looks so much like mine in the face. And, they are the only breed that I know which smiles quite like that all the time! Can you image that bald with just a little bit of the fur around the face that didn't get clipped?
Uh, yeah, I think I don't think I would be brave enough to try a sweater out of dog hair. I can imagine very easily how it would smell when wet. I don't have that much fur anyway. I have maybe enough to do one of two small skeins of a light fine (fingering, sock weight) yarn. I was thinking of possibly knitting up a doily and put it under glass when done. No worries about getting it wet then. :)
One of these days, I'd love to get another one. Currently, we have a brother and sister that we adopted which are a Siberian Husky/Rottweiler mix. They are adorably cute, but starting to get up there in age, too.
Well as mentioned Chris is the only modeler that I know of making all this so who knows. HiveSoon! *giggles*

Our old guy passed away June of last year, and it still hurts. He was our baby, as we didn't have children, just him. But we get our new Keesie baby girl on August 11! It's been such a long wait, finding the right breeder, waiting for her to be born, waiting for her to be old enough to come home. But we're almost there! :)
Congrats! Yes, finding the right breeder is a major undertaking. And, the Kees are not a popular breed with breeders. At least, not here in the states. It takes someone really special to breed them.
Oh thank goodness. Looks like our dog was probably having an allergic reaction to treats, not the cancer progressing. Whew.
So now it's back to 'who knows'

Animals are very stoic. It's tough to lose them; we know it is going to happen, but it doesn't make it any easier.
My last cat, he had bone cancer in the jaw; didn't find out until he started yowling in pain; the jaw was all messed up and badly damaged according to the xray, so god knows what the pain was like, even before he started 'shouting out' in pain.
Vet said a cat's tollerance to pain is very high. Made me cringe.
SWEEEEEET! I didn't know it was released, will pick it up after work!!!
