3 Questions about DS 4.9 & Using Skin Layers

A few days ago I switched to Daz Studio 4.9 & I did a clear install, I have 3 questions…

 

1) How can I reduce the time it takes to render a scene in Iray? I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Video with 4 GB of Ram.

 

2) Is there I way I can look for Items that I already have “installed” & not everything in my Product Library.

 

3) I’m thinking about getting one of SimonWM’s 2nd skin products, some of them have an Illustrated Help Document via a PDF I’m just wondering how the PDFs are delivered with DS 4.9?

    1) needs more information about what is in your scene, how you are lighting it - and how slow it is.

    2) Smart Content's Products tab has "Install state Filters" along the bottom of the pane - Available (not installed), Installed, Updates (Installed but with an update available), and pending (in the process of downloading). The Daz Connect virtual folders under Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats in the Content Library show only installed files.

    3) the pdfs shold be where they would be with the non-Connect version, relative to the rest of the files. However some scripts to show them may not work (I was using the fairytale Dress for G3F earlier and that failed to show its PDF, so I used the right-click Browse to File Location command to find it).
