Background image problems

Hello guys, I´m a 2d background artist and I'm trying to put daz 3d figures in my 2d images.
I'm trying to put my 2d image as a background to work over it but the problem appears when I want to zoom in because it just zoom in the figure but not the background. This is a problem when the figure is small in the image because I see the figure very small and I can not posse it correctly.
I hope it makes sense what I`m asking.
Thank you for your time.

You could render the daz character with a transparent background and then compost in Photoshop.
Create a plane primitive and, with the plane selected, insert your background image in the diffuse channel under the Surfaces tab. You can then move and resize the background to your liking, and zoom in as you would with any object. You may need to do a little trial-and-error to get the plane the proper size for the dimension of your image initially, but you'll soon get the idea.
