Animation Movie Editing Software
I was just lookinng at one of the new 4.9 Animation tutorials and he mentioned that it was better to render with image series instead of a movie and then piece the series together using your movie editor. Is there a particular movie editor that anyone would recommend? I tried looking at the Animation Help topics but ran into some dead links.
Thanks!

I use Sony Vegas Pro 12 (64 bit) for all my movies and have used it with image series to make an animation.
Thanks Fishtales. I'll check that one out. Not sure if i want to invest money in anything too expensive until I get better at it of course. I did a google search on Free Video Editing Software and Windows Movie Maker(which I have used) and Blender (which I have heard of) came up. Does anyone use either of those? I'm just looking for a basic starting point.
Thanks again!
You can download a trial to see if you like it or try Vegas Movie Studio, although I'm not sure if it does image sequences; I haven't used mine for a few years since I upgraded to Vegas Pro.

As an aside, Sony has sold most of their software of this nature. It's now owned by Magix, which is a large holding company for a number of assets.
An alternative to Vegas is Sony Movie Maker. Though a "home" product, it's quite good, with a lot of features. It may be all you need, and is some $400 cheaper. If you're not going to be burning DVDs, you don't need the suite, which adds another fifty bucks or so. The latest version is something like $60 on Amazon, and like Vegas, you can download a trial at the Sony Creative Web site.
Sorry, it's Sony Movie Studio. Not to confuse things here; Windows Movie Maker, which is very low-end, is wholly different from Sony Movie Studio. Sony MS uses a number of the Vegas interface and internal tools.
I forgot about Magix taking over the Sony stuff. I received the email a while ago. I already us the Magix Music Maker and I am sure it was Magix that sent out the email.
