Facial expression gone

Ive just downloaded Daz 4.9 pro. I did this by accident. Ive lost all my saved facial expressions and I cant even edit some of my saved models. For example, if I pull up a saved scene and put brow in the search, nothing comes up to edit. I think I had 4.7 before. Also any of my saved scenes that I load up, I used to be able to choose pose and I could select my created facial expressions. These don't come up anymore. I'm not very computer literate, but this is getting very frustrating for me.
Ive been using Daz for years, but everytime I upgrade, I have all these types of problems. So my question is. If I download 4.7 again, would it put everything back the way it was? And where I can I found 4.7?

So now I ive noticed that when I choose figures from the smart content. I cant choose what I want to edit anymore. If I type hand, neck, brow or anything in parameters, nothing comes up or partial edits come up. It used to come up in 4.7. Am I missing something?
Well, the only I know to do is uninstall this version and look for 4.7. If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.
I guess no one here has the answer. Does anyone know of a 1 800 number? Ive messing with this for a few days now. I'm thinking about trying system restore.
Are there any paarmeters under Actor in the Parameters pane if you load the base figure you are working with? Are you getting any error messages? I'm not sure what you are doing when you choose figures from Smart Content and then search Parameters. It might help to post a screenshot (in smooth shaded preview mode if there's a nude figure loaded) showing what you have.
Thier are no error messages and I dont know if a screen shot would help because everything looks fine. There are a lot of paarmeters, but Im missing some of them. For instance, there is no parameter for angry, smile... etc. and also I used be able to just type in the word hand or arm in the search for the parameter and they would just show up. Now they are missing all together. This all started happening after I upgraded from 4.7 to 4.9 pro. Is there anyway to get rid of this 4.9 and get 4.7 back??
Also I do see the eye brow setting for some characters that I have saved, but they dont work when I try and edit with them. Any saved facial expression that I had is now gone.
Any advice or help would be great as I am in the middle of a comic and this has really set me back.
Another thing I notice is that even facial expressions that were purchased have no effect on the character when I click on them.
Some suggested that it might something to do with this content library? Im not really all that computer literate, but does this look right?
Do you use Install manager? if so I'd expect itt o use C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Daz 3D Library for its installations. Have a look to see if you have that folder, and if you do add it as a Poser and a DAZ Studio Format Content Directory.
One thing to watch when using the search feature of the Parametrs pane, though as I recall it applied to 4.7 as well as 4.8, is that moving the mouse pointer over a slider to get it out of the way fro typing wills teal focus from the text box - but then the box would remain empty, which I don't think is what you are seeing.
Well, I really dont know what all that means. Do I just create a new folder and name it My Daz 3D Library? Do you know of a way to download 4.7 back over 4.9? I havent been able to find it.

Do you use Install Manager to install your content?
I have a version of Install Manager 1.1.0.64. Is that the right one?

That's the current version of DIM - if it wasn't you would be prompted to upgrade when you tried to coinnect.
Start Install manager and in the Ready to Download or Ready to Install tab click the Show Details checkbox - that should expand the infomration panel, the second line should be Content File Install to and a path: what is that path (if you can't see the whole thing click on it to open a file browser and get the path from there)?
I just tried to type in the order. Program files is the last folder
C:/Program Files This PC OSDisk Program files (86)

OK, so the folder DIM is isntalling to is not a folder you have set as a content directory - that will stop DS from seeing the installed files. You need to add C:\User\Public\Docuemnts\My Daz 3D Library as a content directory - either use Content Directory manager, or in the Content Library pane right-click on DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats, in each case picking the Add Directory command and selecting C:\User\Public\Docuemnts\My Daz 3D Library, or by downloading and running (via File>Merge) this script http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/install_manager_config_import/start
Thanks man, I used the download link that you gave me and I seemed to have gotten most things working because of your help. When I click on a character and then choose the pose feature, I used to be able to see facial expressions that I had saved, but I don't see them with this new version. Did I lose them when I upgraded? Either way, even If I never find them again, Im satisfied with at least getting this thing working again. I can always create more expressions.
Thanks again for all your help! It's been such a rough and frustrating week. I love Daz, but I will always be terrified of anything that says upgrade. :)

I'm not sure what happened to your expressions, but if they have vanished from Smart Content etc. you may be able to find them manually - the default location would have put them in something like DAZ Studio Formats>My Library>Presets>Pose presets in the Content Library, though you may of course have changed that to better organise your files.
