4.9 crashes Zbrush when I try to send

I just installed 4.9 pro on a new computer, and I have Zbrush 4.7 with GoZ. I've used this setup with previous versions on previous computers for several years with no problems. Now I'm crashing Zbrush every time I try to send something over from DAZ. Has anybody else had this problem? I just installed the latest version of GoZ from Pixologic, and my DAZ version is brand-spankin' new, but that didn't fix the problem.

It may be a corrupt project file from the first attempt - go to C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects and remove the project files (I can't recall if there are any other files in there, and can't check just now) then try again.

4R7. I have recently installed DS Pro 4.9.2.7.  No big issue from the get go, only one case of minor hiccup, solved.

I didn't installe "latest" GoZ from Pixologic recently, was the same GoZ I had since 4R7 patch3 months ago.

On checking DIM, my GoZ was automatically updated together with DS 4.9.

My experience from past odd GoZ behavior after DS update:

    - with only DS opened (ZBrush not opened), GoZ a Genesis. In ZBrush make some vertices change, GoZ back to DS. ZBrush should now detect updated DS.

In most cases, this should re-establish lost relationship. If that doesn't work

    - Go to Tool and press the R buttton to "Reset the selected GoZ enabled application" (Next to GoZ - All - Visible - R)

    if still doesn't work

    - Go to ZBrush Preferences > GoZ > Clear cache files. Then press on the Path to Daz Studio button. Select one of the DS versions (if you have multiple DS installed).

    Good luck!

  • Thanks for the suggestions. I cleared the Zbrush cache and found that 4.7 has buttons to establish paths to everything except DAZ in my installation. I will contact Pixologic; it's their program that's crashing and can't find DAZ 4.9.
