I'm still learning the rope and have created some scenes and subsets, but I named them badly and wanted to delete them and start again. I did the thing of deleting the file from the file's location as I have no options to delete it in the right click menu.

Can anybody advise me on what is the best way to organize my content and how to rename/delete files that I no longer need?

Thanks

Where is that icon? It should probably have a Show in sub-menu which will enable you to get to the place to delete its reference.

This icon is in the smart content tab, under files>saved files

When I right click on it I get a show asset in content library>mapped folder (but because I have deleted it already it goes nowhere) ...sadly

Is that the only option? Which version of DS is this?

I've attached a screenshot with some more info. Hopefully this is something I can overcome with your help

    Thanks

I didn't know that could happen - everything should be in a product, I thought, but you don't have any product-centric options there. I think you need to open a Support Ticket, unless anyone else has a suggestion.

Try navigating to the folder in Content Library > Categories, then you should be able to select all the orphaned icons, right-click and choose "remove orphans".

Thanks fixmypcmike this seemed to do the trick. I'll definitely be using this a few more times in the future I'm sure.
