Created custom CompatibilityBase(s) for third party products unrecognised?!?

I've been trying to create my own metadata for a few products bought from Renderosity.

So far I have failed to get Daz Studio to recognize the created and saved CompatibilityBase.

The procedure I used with earlier versions of Daz Studio (before Daz Connect) no longer works with version: 4.9.2.70 Pro 64-bit.

When selecting a new figure with added CompatibilityBase and opening the surfaces pane there is "No selection"???

If anyone knows the correct procedure, please advice!
