FWSA Samira HD for Victoria 7

I'm building scenes with this particular character but having an issue with lighting. It doesn't matter what sort of lighting I use, single or multiple placement of lights, Every render ends up looking like a scene from a black and white film noir, with the character in complete shadow.
Any ideas how I can fix this problem?
This isn't an issue with the character or software, its more of a PEBCAK.
Thanks.

Iray or 3Delight? Are you using the matching materials? The FW products often have a disticntive approach to surface settings which means, especially in 3Delight, that they need different lighting strategies from usual - though as i recall Samira wasn't too tricky in the test renders I did.
It didn't matter if it was Iray or 3Delight. Both come out dark, I'm doing some renders using the Level 19 environment to try and get away from the flat background colors.
None of the artwork is for public consumption. I use DAZ for character sketches and scene layouts for my writing.
