Empty Render? (SOLVED)

OK, so I'm a bit baffled by this one. I have a scene with lights and a camera. Environment is set to scene only and when I render with iray all I get is an empty render. e.g. a transparent image.

Any clues? :/

So there is a model of some kind in there?

yeah it's bizarre. I'm at work at the moment, but when I get home I'll try and take some screenshots and show some of the settings if I can.

    UPDATE - RESOLVED

I've just logged into my machine at home to see some of the settings again and think I've figured it out. It appears that I had moved the camera down to below ground level to render a dramatic angle. I've just moved it back to Y translate of 0 and it works! Doh.

I'll have to remember that for next time.

Thanks for the reply though Richard.

I render the inside of walls a lot. It's not just you I-stowe ;)

  • I am wanting the low angle render but I am running into this same problem. Is there a fix that still allows me to have this desired low angle?

    Thanks

@jalillich I'm a total beginer in daz but moving camera and the model above ground level helped ;) (I do not render whole scenes though, only the model)

  • For low angle shots below the ground plane remember to switch OFF the "Draw Ground" option in the Render/Environment panel. (Gets me every time)wink
