3Delight broken SubD ?

Hey,

I've been having problems with 3Delight redners and SubD surfaces.

Basically, the last row of faces/polygons before an open edge in the mesh, won't render.
They look fine in the viewport, they render fine with Iray aaand they render fine with 3Delight if the meshes are closed... it's just a waste of polygons to close intersecting geo nobody will ever see.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this or if I'm just missing to check some setting needed for 3Delight.

The atatched image shows the same mesh in the viewport, Iray and 3Delight.

    In the Parameters pane under Mesh Resolution set the Edge Interpolation to Sharp Edges and Corners.

    Thanks Richard, I've tried that before and just did again, no change, same result :/

    Okay, did some tests and figured it out: The last faces of an open mesh will not render in 3Delight if they have edge weighting on them... if only 1 edge as weight, all connected unweighted open edges will not render anymore either.

    would seem like a bug ?

    Certainly worth reporting as a possible bug, yes.
