Framing a Render

Probably a dumb question, but is there a way to reposition the render frame without moving the camera? I have a scene I'm trying to render and I love the camera angle. When I go render, I wish I could just move the render frame area to the left but not move the camera. I could render bigger and then crop in postwork, but I'd rather just render and frame in Studio.

If you mean offset the frame from the camera view, I don't think you can do that. I know you can change the size of the frame and have it tall and skinny or short and fat by changing the width and height in render settings, but the center of the frame will always be at the center of the camera view.
Yep, I meant offset the frame from the camera view. Hmm, I guess I'll have to setle for the other option and then crop in postwork. Thanks. I didn't think so, but then again, there's a lot I don't know so I thought I'd ask.
The center of the frame will not always be at the center of the camera view. You can certainly offset the frame from the camera. An example is using rule of thirds. It works best if you set the render frame size first the position the camera. My gallery has a number of examples where the subject is offset within the frame. In all of those, the camera is focused on the subject.
Create a new camera duplicating the current view.
Go to top view and select the new camera with the universal tool.
You can now slide the camera left or right (drag the red translate x arrow) without changing the camera angle.
