As part of the conversion process, an obj file will be generated and saved to your temp folder, copy that obj file to a location where you can find it again. If you get keen you can also change the directory called for in the CR2 file of the obj in notepad. Is a fun vehicle, used it in several renders already.
Got the error when I first opened it in Carrara, then opened it in DAZ Studio to try Blended Weight but as it is a prop it wouldn't let me do it. Saved as a scene subset but still got the I/O error.
a long way around now is to save out the unit from DS with the landing gears and/or whatever else as seperate OBJs and then import as morphs into the Carrara model

I exported it from Studio as an obj and then retextured it. It was a lot more trouble than it was worth, but I needed for a print add.

are these double sided polys?
pretty sure carrara has a way to show the normals direction. dunno where it went.
wasnt there a way to load a texture map on the uv grid for reference?
know i've done it before. cant remember where to load it. something global
only 4 selected. guess if was double sided would show 8 selected?
Is it unticked on U and V?
normal spikes options are in the interactive render down the bottom
your default shader is the one which has a map show if one assigned
I definately unticked U and V when I was trying to get it to work. That wasn't the issue.

and carrara doesn't have troubles with ngons. looks like this poly has 6 verts on it ?

I remember the issue... I think at the time I saved it out as an OBJ file... can't quite remember now..
anyways I did get around the problem by modeling my own Carrara sub... I'll post it in the Wacky Modeling thread if you can do anything with it..

the morph slider didnt show in Carrara until i moved her morphs folder/file .dsf under \data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\DAZ 3D\
by default it installed directly under Morphs.

Was coming up with an error message and freezing Carrara when loaded. Saved as a DUF file in DAZ Studio then worked okay.

The Colosseum looks awesome
it uses instances in DS which doesn't work in Carrara
will be interested to see if any Carrara users purchase it and get it together using replicators and how hard it is to do it.
That would be a good subject for a plug-in - finding the instances in a scene and converting them to Carrara copies, or replicating them...

each part of the craft is an individual figure.
just makin sure there no geometry in the preset. cant be too careful doh

There is no geometry or morphs in this preset. Requires Astro master by Kibaretto
dunno why, my brain keeps going to ass master as in donkey master, or donkey jockey
