figure is all white when rendered--how to solve?

in New Users
I have loaded up MeiLin 7 into my scene with her 3Delight texture because i'm not using Iray, and when i try to render or spot render her to check on her appearance, she appears only as all white, or rather there is only white where she would be. I used to notice this from time to time and i merely would save my work and exit DS, then restart DS and load up the scene again, which would work. It doesn't seem to work now, or do the trick. So i am wondering, how do i make DS4.9 reload her textures? I think that is the correct word.

If several figures are doing it, then it's likely that, yes, it IS the AoA shader. Often, when more than one is messing up, it's the SSS group ID. In order to properly work, all the figures must have unique IDs.
Maybe...most of the time, the ID is saved as part of the preset and the 'blank' shader tends to default to 0.
Yep...
Unfortunately, that's one of the drawbacks with complex ShaderMixer based shaders...as the complexity increases do does the chance of it getting 'confused' and not working correctly. But when they work right, SM shaders are great...
Thanks a lot! I do indeed use AOA lights and i really forgot about the group ID issue.

Dont understand a single word of that really. I've used DAZ since 3.X but its not Amature Friendly anymore.
Is there anyway to Turn off the AOA Lights? I really just want a simple lighting set up, and I dont need a Radio Active Toon could someone please explain to my tiny bird brain why Everything in the Scene renders normally Except the Charactor? in 3DL The Clothes the Set everything is just fine; while she looks like Casper the Bloody Ghost. TY. I'm using the IGL and 3DL renders. The IGL looks like it was shot in a cave, the 3DL is Radio Active? How can the same set with the same lights. taken minutes apart be both way too dark and way too light at the same time? I should not have to take 3 Renders of Each image and merge them in PS to get something that looks half right.
Find Studio's temp folder (it is set in Preferences), dig down into it until you find the brickyard folder, delete the brickyard folder and try rendering again.
Will do, Have a lunch date, but Ill report later.
Thanks Jess. : )
