Render without background

Sorry if this is asked a lot. So far I've tried setting the Environment Type to None and disabling Visible in Render but my Basic OpenGL still renders still has the default gray background.  I am not too familiar with v4.9 and I forgot how I did it before in earlier versions.  Can someone help me out?

Do both renders (using simple materials so the 3Delight render is fast) and then use the layer mask from the 3Delight render to separate the OpenGL render. Though I think you will still get fringing.

  • Thanks for the suggestion!  I also tried giving the background a green color so that I can key it out later in after effects but double render / layer mask resulted a bit better in quality.  Really wish I could just simply render a OpenGL with tranparency without the extra work though.
