Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 ti Ambient Occlusion not supported for Daz Studio?

Is that right?
I checked in the Nvidia Controle Panel today under Manage 3D Devices when I noticed it..
I can change it to ON and set it to quality in the Global Settings , but it is still grayed out in the Program Settings and says that Ambient Occlusion is not supported for this Application.
I used to render 3Delight for years and we use Ambient Occlusion, so I am puzzled why it is telling me that it is not supproted for Daz Studio.
Your help would be very much appreciatet.
I am back on PC from iMac since last Thursday, so maybe that is all as it should be.
Actually , I have NO Idea what should be on or off, I left it all in default.
Any advice as to what I should change?
Petra

That is doing AO in 'hardware' for games...it has nothing to do with the rendering process. It might provide AO for the OpenGL viewport...but I don't think so, as the OpenGL shaders in Studio are very basic. It's not a 'failing' or deficiency...it isn't needed for this type of work so it doesn't matter. In fact the rest of those settings are only going to impact the viewport view, if anything and have absolutely no bearing on the render.
That would be for hardware rendering (OpenGL), not software rendering
Oh I am so happy.
Thank you so much.
